Here's my version of Doodle Jump. The jetpack doesn't really work yet and while you can kill the little blobs, you can't die from touching them yet, so its really like a Papi Jump ATM. ;) Press 2nd to shoot, and left and right to move, you can wrap around the screen, but that part is really sensitive, so be careful. ;)
A0DOODLE is the Source and DOODLEJP is the compiled version. (Yes I have to start my programs with "A0" to keep them at the top XD)
Thanks to Qwerty.55 for helping with stopping the sprite erasing.

That looks great.

not bad..... Gravity seems a little lacking. It looks really nice otherwise!
-
thanks, and also thanks for your help.

yeah, very simple physics. :P
-
It wasn't an accident ._.
Joking, I rated it back up.
-
THis looks interesting, can't wait to see more development on this. :)
-
I agree with DJ. I can't wait to see where this goes!
Who needs an iPod Touch/iPhone, anyway? ;D
-
yeah, as soon as I can make a decent accelerometer... ;D
-
Nice, love the graphics  Are you planning to include the themes that the iPhone version has?
-
I love it :D I did notice the gravity doesn't have acceleration, are you planning to add it? If so i can be of assistance :D I know a lot about acceleration ^^
-
sure, thanks, I know you're great at physics, but I'm not going to be available until sunday afternoon, so I guess we could wait til then or whenever you and I both have time. ;)
-
Sunday is the day before finals D: Sometime after Tuesday is good for me
-
I especially like it when you die, with that transition screen.
Although returning to homescreen every time seems a bit inconvenient.
Maybe you could try to add some 'bounce' to your character? The movement feels... a little linear to me.

yeah, same, but I was planning to spend the morning studying, as I said though, whenever you're availible. ;)
-
Btw I didn't check all of the screenshot and missed the title screen, it looks pretty great. :D

Oh, darn. Another one of TI's fails? :P
-
Nah he uploaded in the wrong directory, but couldn't move the file because the staff downloads got custom fields, disallowing any move due to a download system bug.
-
wow looks like 3 people started working on the same game at the same time...had no idea other ppl thought of this idea wow...good job...theirs also papi jump...
-
Yeah, there was also another PapiJump game in March 2010 I think, but you had to hold the calc sideways. It was kinda cool, though, considering it was made with a very early version of Axe.

Should I update it so we'd have 4-ish Papi/doodle Jumps being (re)released at the same time? ^-^
-
Lol that would be funny if there were that many clones coming out. You would need to add a title screen and stuff, though, unless in your version the goal was to keep it small. :P

5 O.o Blame the iPhone community for having such a good idea :P
-
small question: how did you video tape the screen? :) i want to make a video for my version of doodlejump
-
@Mohammad: Use a program like Wabbitemu (http://wabbit.codeplex.com/releases/view/44625).

Then I suppose it's hilarious right about now. :P

Well at least it is not as bad as with quadratic solvers yet. :P
