Title: Factory Series
Post by: jsj795 on March 30, 2011, 08:27:31 am
Okay, I'm finally releasing the Factory Series. This combines Factory by Builderboy, Factory Theta by ztrumpet, and Factory X by me in a single program.

You start with only Factory unlocked, and once you reach high enough score in survival mode you will unlock Factory Theta, and eventually Factory X.

Controls:
Factory: 2nd to release box
Factory Theta: 2nd to rotate boxes
Factory X: 2nd to grab box and release box, Alpha to put the box on the side

I'm kinda lazy/busy right now to make a screenshot, I'll do it later :P

Here's the screenshot:

Factory Theta:

Factory X:

Things I want to implement:
Achievements
Linked gameplay with other people

This is nice! I've always been wondering when the Factory Trio will be released.  :D

Hmm I forgot about this topic earlier. This is definitively getting news later.

Btw are you planning to upload it in the archives? I'M unsure if this should go in the staff section or the new user section, though, since it contains both programs by staff and one by you (although you used to be staff)

I'm happy this is finally released, I was worried it kinda died for good.

OOoh this is looking great! Good job.

I really appreciate the speed and fun for a BASIC program.

Very cool. I forgot that there were three Factory games :P Good luck on implementing the other features.

Great job, Builder, and especially Jsj. :D  In my option, the first and third ones are the best. :)  Thanks for updating this. ;D

These look very nice!  This is perhaps one of the best puzzle games in BASIC I've seen in a long time.  A-1 Super! ;D

haha don't be modest ztrumpet! 2nd one is awesome too!
And yeah it's been sitting in my calc forever, I just changed the scores required to unlock and some other minor stuff :P

Yay it has finally been released! :D Its so cool to think that this was all started cause I made that small program that long ago in stats class :P And it spawned two totally awesome games that were so much more complicated, and was eventually amassed into an epic homescreen factory pack of win!

By the way I re-tried this a few days ago and I like it a lot really, even if I'm normally not into that type of games.

I can see what you do with the last game, but what do you do (how do you play) the first two? And on the second one, what's the point of moving around?

I think you only need to use the arrow keys and enter/2ND, but I'm not sure!

I studied the screenshots for a while and now I see what you do. although I'm still confused on what the purpose of putting certain blocks in certain rows is on the original Factory.

In the original factory, the rules are simple:  If you get 3 blocks in a row that are the same type, they disappear and give you 50$.  If any of the rows overflows, you lose :)

The others are based on this, you'll understand the extras with practice.
