Title: Falldown (clone of iPhone game)
Post by: Deep Toaster on January 21, 2012, 04:02:23 pm
I know, "Another Falldown game?" But this one's different. It's a clone of the popular iPhone version (okay, I guess it's still not original), complete with acceleration (like in PapiJump (http://omniurl.tk/5580/)) and horizontal collision to simulate tilting an iPhone. Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUTjLAuGmH0)'s a video of the original game, if you've never played it.

My version is pretty much done, but I'm having trouble converting the fancy text into three- or four-level grayscale that actually looks good. Here's what I have so far:

It's done (in the first post). I'll add a readme and put it on a couple of archives :)

Simple. But addictive.
I like this game because you paid attention to each detail, so it is very nice to play.
Good job !

Thanks! I'm always obsessed with the details when I'm making a clone of everything. I'm the sort of person who would notice that the platforms' sides aren't closed and rounded, or that the ball doesn't conserve its rotation in free-fall, as in the original game <_<
