The rounded ones almost seem too round... I like the pointed one, but maybe just round up the very tip.

I like round ones, but it's your game.  I've never played DDR before, just watched, so I don't know about any other game play details.

Hehe, FFR3 will be "Kinda Smooth Scrolling" meaning that it'll move by 8, 12, and 16 pixels at a time (for now, I might make I acual smooth scrolling, but prolly not

So real smooth scrolling is pixel by pixel?  or tile by tile?

true smooth scrolling goes pixel by pixel but that can be extremly slow on calculators so many people choose to go by 2 pxls or 4 pxls.

4 looks weird, I might do it though (it kills timing :(sad.gif so I might have 8 as the smallest, but it "looks" good)

tile by tile (8) would be kinda pathetic in ASM right?

I think the arrows look good so far though.

Sorry for going off topic.

No I didn't know it was basic because that makes it even more impressive.

Well it's offically been deemed a copy of XXR (alas... I can't excape that... BUT! I have the 3 other FFR games I've done so...)

well i guess Xlibman just beat u to it ;)wink.gif As for smoothscrolling, i tried to do that to, making a clone of XXR, except with smoothscrolling. It works actually pretty nice speed on 83+, just i didn't do a lot of stuff. Like missed arrows.
@CDI:we could try a smoothscrolling DDR if you want, after all, 2 brains are better than 1 ;)wink.gif

Hmm... I have it going at a steady 2 fps on the 83+ and found a problem... by xoring the arrows... anything less than 12 px at a time is too hard to see the arrows in order to hit them... hmm...

@dragon_lance - Sure, maybe I'll post the code & pics for ya

out of curiosity, how do u measure fps?

chronometer plus watching how much frame there is in 10 secs. then divide per 10

Or Auto_Int_5 on the 68k calcs. Just have it count twenty rounds of it and mark how many times the screen is redrawn.
