Title: First Omni-minigame
Post by: hellninjas on March 20, 2012, 05:33:18 pm
Here's a game I decided to randomly make in Axe during SRT, anyways...
You play as the omni symbol :D
Collect mana that randomly appears around the field and have the chance of being hurt, or gain mana.
If your HP hits 0 you die
Move with the arrow keys, press Alpha to use 1 MP to heal, 2nd to display cords
Earn 1 point per mana collected
You slowly die when moving around the field (1 in 3 chance)
Post your score below! Hope you like it :)

Why did you use axe to make something so simple...? I'll check it out later.

Boot2490 it's generally a very bad idea to do something more complex as your first project in any language. You get overwhelmed by the complexity of making it because it's simply beyond your skills range. My first Axe game was a simple Tunnel clone. I'm not saying it's impossible to start big, but in most cases people shoot themselves an arrow to the knee... er I mean shoot themselves in the foot.

This seems nice Hellninjas by the way. Glad to see you coding more.
