Yeah I noticed a massive drop in activity since this week started. This is almost scary x.x

What I've been thinking about a while is:

Dodgeball 2: That game {AP} did in the downloads section, but instead of displaying balls one by one, use the same technique as xLIB xLIB Revolution. This would most likely cause a massive loading time when game starts the first time (to randomize a level), but it would be considerably faster. BY doing this, I even think that you could even have the game so it has balls coming from two directions or even 4 if it's fast enough.

Nemesiat 2: That one would prbly be for me, but I thought about attempting some sort of quick RPG in the same fashion than Nitacku's 5-minutes programs on UTI, but obviously the game wouldn't be developped in 5 hours. Game would most likely involve Nemesiat, from both the game Illusiat 6 and Nemesiat (which are the same, except for some differences and smaller size for the later), who would have to get out of that alternate dimension he's in during the fight against the Emperor.

For that, though, I would need motivation x.x

hmm, how about a xlib version of asteroids? I tried to work on one, but it slowed down quickly when I tried to add the asteroids, although it is still playable
(I just finished my version of this on the trip to BC (wow, I forgot how scary it is to drive through mountains with a trailer))

Asteroids in basic is impossible the amount of items would get massive.

What about some kind of age of empires game
OK there are allready a lot of these games but what about
==> using celtic III (for the map, saving RAMmemory...)
==> using the link system of the Chicago game (you should check this card game out on ticalc.org) to enable a multiplayer calctocalc  game.

I would like a RTS (or semi RTS) with the ability to build a base almost how you want and a decent amount of speed, even if it means that small units comes into groups of 2 or 4 into one sprite and count as 1, and even if it means that units can walk on each others to save speed on collision detection.

Don't worry, i'm back now, and order is restored.  No more game ideas are needed. :D
Jk.
Anyways, I think an amazingly complicated RPG would be awesome. Something along the lines of oblivion/morrowind if you've played those.  In fact, something like what I was working on the week I was gone...

It's not amazing or anything, just basicly an engine using x-lib.
The part I think is cool, is that everything is changable.  Change the first two or three lines of the program (which is initialising the spells & stuff, these would already be set in the program calling the battle engine) and the entire thing changes.
Here's what it is so far:

(Note that 4 of the spells don't have pics because I suck at pixel art, and am *never* satasfied with what I draw.  Also, I have labeled the game the engine will go to "The Infamous Adventures of I-Beam the explorer", therefore the i beam character. I know, I'm so original and creative :P Oh and EC is Evil Cube.  Yes, I do have a thing for cubes, if you haven''t noticed! )

EDIT:
Forgot, quick inventory I threw in:

EDIT2: Note, the screenshots are very slow :(

this looks nice, I wonder if it would be possible to have the two energy bars so they don't blink, though?

Either way This might be useful for people who need an engine for their RPG or help. :)

Umm, sorry DJ, but thats the point. They blink so they are distingiushable from the health and mana bars.(Top: health, Bottom: Mana) They are borders so you can estimate aproximately how much health you have left out of a total.  They were supposed to be grey, but my loop is slightly too slow for that... Oh well

Just my opinion, but if the outside part isn't working well as grayscale, did you try dithering it?

Idea:

a raycaster that is not a FPS where you can actually see your character. What about Zelda or some sort of 3D RPG also with 3D battles?
