Hallo,
Just an idea, may never come to fruition, and I technically haven't even started it yet, but I may make a Geometry Wars clone with Axe.
-
That sounds really neat. Good luck on it! ;D

Thank you.
Good luck on it! ;D
If it ever happens.

That version's by The Penguin 77 and in pure Asm (and 84 only). However, if Sir could do this in Axe I think it would be awesome as well. :D
-
that sounds interesting and difficult, SIr. Might be difficult to get good speed with more than a few enemies. though.
-
Hmm, if it is already done, then the project is already abandoned. Sorry guys.
-
Yea, He just submitted to the archive days ago. What an odd coincidence.
-
It would indeed be nice to see a 83+ version of this, though (altough I definitively think the current one should get featured)
-
Sorry to hear that this is getting canceled (unless a 83+ version gets started) :( (Even though it wasn't technically official yet :P)
-
Aw, that's sad. :(
At least we already have an awesome version of it. ;D
-
Sorry for the instant kill of project. An axe version though. That would take some serious optimization.
The only way I see an 83+ version is if there were fewer enemies and a lower frame rate. I'm trying to optimize the bullet/enemy hit detection which gets run 1,800 times per frame in heavy traffic and I've only managed to pull out ~70 t-states, which is 1,800*70/15,000,000 = .0084 seconds per frame. That's about 8% faster overall, but not the 200%-300% needed to put it over to 83+.
-
Aw... too bad... :(
Yeah, increasing the speed by that much will be very difficult, if it's even possible at all. Poor TI-83+... (non-SE)
