That's mana force 2, which is at ticalc.org, which is a very old game I made back in early 2003. However the version at ticalc.org seems to be corrupted so I am updating it and fixing the corrupted source code. However since this game is still only in french I was wondering if (by looking at the screenshot) if it would be really worth the effort of translating the whole thing in english or if I should just fix the glitches and let the thing die in ticalc.org archives? Thx in advance. ;)

of course if I figure out how the save files were made again this will speed up progress A LOT :wacko:
I fixed a small bug that allowed you to go directly beat the dark orb in the haunted house before beating that dragon and skin every previous quests including the mini boss in the haunted house

all i know is that there is a routine that check if the save file is valid or not like in RL3 so if u edit it badly it doesnt work anymore

j/k I finally figured out how to hack into the save files. Experience has a strange formula so I recalculated it for level 98 (since it didnt worked fine at 99) so now I can beat and debug the game faster. I might try to figure out how to increase all magic to level 3 as well because casting each of them 150 times to master would be very very long
I realised something that was cool in this game: let says you cast reflect on yourself, it will last a certain amount of turn. However if u win the battle before the spell effect ends the effect will continue during the remaining amount of turns on next battle. Pretty cool since regen lasted over 20 turns at level 1

, don't you hate that when it happens? I usally look at some of my code logic and am amazed how good it can be 8), but then again it can be really crappy (looks at his old DDR and FDR and Pheonix ripoff....lol).

There are also a few bug fixes, but they were only applied to the English version so far. Also some magic spells were renamed so they're not as redundant. The readme was also updated (including magic/morphing info, disclaimers, etc).

And indeed, it is a lot easier with "new technologies" such as TokenIDE. I don't think I would even have finished Pokemon Topaze without a software like this (I was using TI-Convert at this time, but now switched to TokenIDE).
Well, not that I personnally care a lot about an English translation since I am French (:P) but I still think it is great to spread great games to more people :)
