Title: My Cage Match Entry
Post by: AngelFish on December 18, 2010, 10:43:46 pm
In honor of the current Cage match, here is my "Entry." The screenie appears really slow to me, but I'm not sure if that's because of the Firefox Beta version or my corrupted Wabbitemu file. It runs at a reasonable speed on-calc.

EDIT: Firefox Beta is the problem  :P

Hmm interesting, but I'm afraid I don't really get it. ??? What is the goal of the game?

To press the button. It's a one button game :P

Yeah but is there any difficulty, like the mouse cursor moving and you are forced to press enter right in time before cursor goes too far?

Nope, none at all. You can move the cursor any direction you want. There's only one button and pushing that button is the entire game.

Ok but it's not a game, then? I thought the cage matches required to have a game where you can win or lose? ??? (Unless you actually lose when it says "The Game"? :P) Also how can you move in 4 directions if only one button can be pressed and go through text? O.O Does it just turn around 90° every keypress and on the 5th keypress it goes through the text if you're over it? ???

Basically, DJ, he's just using a play-off-words to get around using only one button as input :P His "one-buttonness" is from the game having only one button that you have to push to advance. Other than that you can use the arrow keys and a button to push the button :P

Ok, I think I get it. I guess I just thought that every game required to be able to win or lose.

Well I don't think it's a serious entry type thing, but I could be wrong :P

Yep, it's literally a one button game. No one said the button had to be physical...

And no it's not serious. I made it in a couple of hours, both of which were spent debugging the thing.

Oh ok, lol, I didn't realize. I thought it had to involve only pressing one key. :P
