Title: TI-Freakware stuff
Post by: tifreak on October 27, 2005, 03:52:00 pm
I figured I would post stuff related to TI-Freakware here, maybe keep those that may care up to date...

Any who, I found a php guestbook script, and I would like some of your opinions. :)smile.gif

Yeah, website stuff. Anything TI related will go in the TI section...

Ok, Got the forum cosmetically fixed, though I need to change some of the images...

TI-Freakware finally broke 8000 visitors! :Dbiggrin.gif

I really need to figure out how to increase that count faster... <_<dry.gif  (Without cheating!!!!!)

What else should I host or place on my site, that would bring in more people...?

Me forums are so quiet... :cry:pleure.gif

Hmm, Cpanel just revealed this link to me...

http://www.factbites.com/topics/TI-83-series

I am near the bottom...

Well, it wasn't in the same topic I put it in when I started posting it...

Oh, ok. It doesn't fit in programming help...? WTF? Oh well...
Title: TI-Freakware stuff
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on December 02, 2005, 03:49:00 am
O_Oshocked2.gif its programming help... well maybe they took it more like an announcement and decided to move the topic. They should add the link to your website in the prgming help tutorial list though

Title: TI-Freakware stuff
Post by: tifreak on January 07, 2006, 01:27:00 pm
Anyways, new stuff will be arriving as I can get it completed on my site. So far, as site projects:

Convert Kevin's tutorial and fix grammar errors. :)smile.gif
Finish RPG Starter Kit developer's Guide
Finish Project pages
Add ASM tutorials/info to site (Yes, I will begin posting information that is no longer on the net.)
Repair pics in Kerm's tutorial
Add links from pending page (48 of them...)
Translate Fast RPL and place under tutorials
Add tutorials under other calcs

This does not include any of my calc projects, plus I am leaving out obvious site projects like the archives...

Oh, and yes, I will be looking for anyone who has experience with html that would like to help rivereye and myself add new content to TI-Freakware. Post here if you would like to help...

lol, I don't know if it is still there or not. That is one of the other things, go through and check all the links...

!

I wonder if it is possible to make a script that would check all the links, and come back with all the ones that were bad...

The W3C has a link checker. http://validator.w3.org/checklink

It won't check, due to my robots.txt... I will bug seklorean about it, see if he could create something like that...

Post by: tifreak on January 08, 2006, 01:33:00 pm
I am kinda lookin for someone who has some time on their hands...

Right now, there are about 50 links that needs to be added, tutorials to convert, files to review and upload, more stuff for the asm resource page to be added, etc.

I don't want to pull you away from your game, since it is gonna kick some major butt. :)smile.gif

Post by: tenniskid493 on January 08, 2006, 02:31:00 pm
LOL..my games on hold until we finish up the new forum RPG...how much time do you think it would take per week??
Title: TI-Freakware stuff
Post by: tifreak on January 08, 2006, 02:45:00 pm
As much as you could spare. I don't push too hard, though updates have been kind of lagging, since Rivereye and myself have both been busy.

Kevin's tutorial will take a while, since I have to fix a lot of grammar errors. :Pblah.gif

Plus now I will also be hosting a copy of a basic tutorial that is located on ticalc.org, just have to get time to convert it over...
Title: TI-Freakware stuff
Post by: tenniskid493 on January 08, 2006, 02:50:00 pm
If you want me to do it, I could.  I prob. could spare 1-15 hrs. per week (sometimes more sometimes less) to work on it.  If you want someone who has more time, I understand completly.
Title: TI-Freakware stuff
Post by: tifreak on January 08, 2006, 02:53:00 pm
That would be perfect! lol, like I said, it doesn't have to be a whole lot. :)smile.gif

I shall pm you the info...

I don't know what it is, but it sure makes this worth more, when you are searched for directly. :)smile.gif

Could be...

ASM Resource page is sure helping people:

http://www.google.com/search?q=ti+84+asm+compiler&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:unofficial
(This was in 3 diff languages from google. :)smile.gif)

@ Kevin: This is in reference to the basic greyscale package:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=making+games+with+the+ti+84+tutorial

Kinda cool that it is already in the top results. :)smile.gif

Now if I can just get the rest of my site done... >_<

I updated the "look" of the tutorials page. Please give me some feedback..

http://tifreakware.calcgames.org/tutorials.htm

I more or less sectioned it off, as I will soon be hosting tutorials for the 86 assembly, and there is a couple sound tutorials that tenniskid is working converting that was made by greenorange a while ago... And yes, he gave me permission when it came out to get them posted...

Nice!

Right under Misc. Tutorials, put a "Submit a Tutorial" button. :Dbiggrin.gif
Is there any topic you haven't covered yet?
Title: TI-Freakware stuff
Post by: tifreak on February 21, 2006, 06:02:00 am
I might do that... :)smile.gif I would just have to copy and modify the upload script that I currently have...

And there are tons of areas that need to be covered. Take a look at the list, and if you see something that should be made, make it. :Dbiggrin.gif

Also, Kerm and I will be making a ERR: FAQ. :)smile.gif I recieved several requests this morning on errors for the 83/+ line of calcs... It is crazy...  :crazy:fou.gif

Working with Cemetech, I am trying to create an error FAQ for the calcs (so far for just the 83 series) that would give hints and tips on how to correct certain problems the user or programmer might encounter. If you would like to contribute, go to: http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=23248#23248

If you would like to see a compiled list, go to: http://s4.invisionfree.com/TIFreakware/index.php?showtopic=227&st=0last

Please note that the completed version will be on black background, with a better shade of those colors. :)smile.gif

But then, TI-Freakware's color scheme is black and green... :)smile.gif
