I had to do a math project where I had to make a game with quiz questions.
I thought, "blah, that's gonna take too long."
So I whipped out my trusty old TI83+ and made a program that generates random math quiz questions.
Currently the only setting is various forms of quadratic functions, and I might be too busy to update it, but I hope someone finds it useful.
Here you go!
Edit: Minor update, pause at the end of run
Enjoy!
EDIT: I am no longer working on this program because it is really messed up and hard to edit. Obviously, it is open source, so you can use it if you want, but be warned that it is incapable of giving correct answers.

+1 for combining quadratic solvers and a quiz game :D

Hi, Boot. :D
-
Hey,welcome back ^_^
-
Nice to see you again boot2490 :D
-
HEY BOOT NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!! :D
glad to see you are still programming :D
-
I actually just started up again yesterday ;)
You know, I go through my interest phases like any other person, but sometimes it is more so for me. For the past while, I have been busy as shit and simply put, bored and tired of programming.
But, although I am not on board completely yet, you might be seeing some more of me in the near future, as my interests shift every month or so.
But, here is the next version, with slightly fewer questions and now...
It tells you the answers!
I think it may have some bugs, but yeah.
Here!

Whoops! I accidentally have it so that for standard form equations, b can be negative, yet I don't want to include imaginary numbers.
So here is a minor fix to keep b positive.

MAJOR FIX
Sorry about the visual glitches guys, if you tried it..
Here it is, with a slightly more streamlined design and a cleared home exit, for those of us who value aesthetic quality.
Edit: Legal triple post
-
wb, Morgan. >:D (I still know ur full name)
-
You triple posted O.O (should prbly use the edit button :P)
And sorry for the loss of interest in coding. It would be nice if you still showed up on the forums sometimes (even if not in the coding threads but rather gaming and stuff). Hopefully you remain around for a while :D

Minor visual fix.
If you get divide by zero, rerun it to get a new question cause I am too tired to fix it.
-
It's not that I lost interest permanently, it's that my busy schedule and fixational tendencies forced me to take a break for a while. I am still interested in programming, but I just don't do it as much. I go through my phases and I will start programming again sooner or later.
Oh, and I kinda realized that Quizgen doesn't really work. It gives the wrong answers for questions entirely. Sorry, if you want to actually use it, just download the first post version. Or debug it. But I am busy at the moment.
-
Ah I see, and sorry to hear about the program bugs.
Btw you might want to use the edit button (assuming it works from the browser/device you are using). ;)
-
I just realized that this program does not work at all. It always gives the wrong answers. Oh well, I don't feel like fixing it.
-
Hey boot2490, good to see you back again and still active. Your attitude in posts is always funny and striking.
-
Why, thank you. I'm flattered. Glad to be programming again.
-
Hey boot, do you have anything else planned for this program?
-
Noap. But I am about to make a topic about my planned Mario Kart game...
-
Well it is a beta so surely you must be planning some further development on this... It would do nice as a feature in a larger game.
-
WB boot!
Very cool prgm btw! :)

I am no longer working on this program because it is really messed up and hard to edit. Obviously, it is open source, so you can use it if you want, but be warned that it is incapable of giving correct answers in its current state.
Stay tuned for my mode seven engine, I think it is almost done...
