Hello,
tiDE needs a logo. A play on the spelling of it would be nice ("tide"). Attached is the current logo. It should be able to shrink down small, too, because it will need to fit as an icon for a window. Something similar to the Firefox logo would be awesome.
Thanks! :)

I kinda like the current one, but the tiDE part would fit better with the TI-83 Plus PC fonts and a darker shade of violet/purple.

Seriously, I like the actual logo, but I agree it needs to be somewhat fancier, or less fancier to fit the small resolution of a TI screen, but would still be awesome.

Lol Juju ;D

I like that 'un

It is a PC IDE, it doesn't need to fit on the calculator :P

Nice. Did you try with TI fonts? (I wonder if you could get in trouble, though)
-
I tried it with the TI fonts and couldn't stand it x.x
-
Ah ok sorry to hear.
-
The font I ended up using is released under public domain, so it's also totally legal.
-
So you want something around the same size as the firefox icon?
-
That would be great. Same general idea, too, perhaps a wave spinning around a circle, if that's not too much trouble. And it needs to scale well from 48x48 to 18x18.
-
How about this icon ^^
-
Pretty good, is it freely available for use and owned by you?
-
well i used an image i found on google images

Ah, as a school-sponsored project, the creators of the material forfeit all copyright claims to the material, or so I'm told by my own school.
Thanks!
-
Nice, I like these logos :D That circle thing (in the original logo) looks awesome.
And the one by Juju ;D
-
Here's the same icon, transparified.

Nice.
Btw are there any freeware tools to edit ico files? Photofiltre free version used to do it then it was removed for some reasons. You just had to rename a BPM extension to ICO and you were set. Then it no longer worked. :/

You can use Paint.NET (http://www.getpaint.net/) combined with this (http://www.evanolds.com/IcoCur.zip) add in. Put the dll into the FileTypes directory of the Paint.NET install.
-
I know you can edit ICO files with Visual Studio, I don't know if you can with the Express Edition though...
-
Thanks, guys.

Thank you Builderboy, I love the new icon. It looks absolutely amazing, it's exactly what I was looking for.
