I'm in a CEGEP, some sort of college between high school and university here in Québec, they offers technical programs (like mine, Computer Science - Industrial) or preuniversity programs.

You're in the same town as DJ, how nice!

I'd like to be in a school like that, but my parents say:

'You're a bright student, you shouldn't go to informatic, you'll be a doctor!!!'

Yep, I even met him one time, I think there's a topic about that somewhere.

Well, same for me. Or maybe I could be a doctor in computer science?

What I want to do of my life:

Develop Medicine Software and Hardware, mainly Software, also I could work as Informatic Engineer in Hospitals, but I'll take a degree on Medicine (Surgeon) and one as Software Engineer :)

Juju, I would be happy to have you on the team!  Unfortunately, Visual Studio 2008 is incompatible with 2010 project files.  I would recommend SharpDevelop 4.0+Tortoise SVN, which will work fine.

In fact, Juju helped me this day with going from Visual Studio to SharpDev, since SharpDev doesn't make automatic statements for Windows Forms, unlike Visual Sudio (using system; using system.windows.forms;)

I could get Visual Studio 2010 from DreamSpark, but, unfortunately, my school deprecated the usage of Groupwise in favor of some email address-less internal messaging system thingy this year...

(Also, in Quebec, there are one additional level of school between hi school and college: professional school. If you take those classes you can major in something too but it is mostly for manual work, like soldering, or computer help stuff that doesn't involve creation. It's cheaper and usually lasts shorter, but sometimes you have summer school.)

Welcome to the team, ScoutDavid.

Thanks.

I'll be working a lot in C# from now on. I'm glad I was given teh change to work for such a big project, that's progressing well (30% in your signature).
