So, my website will go under extreme changes, such as new utilities, new design, new pages, so I decided to create a new topic for it. Here is a preview of the most likely outcome:

What do you think of it?
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks!

Looks nice -- but when I opened it, there was a number 10 in the top left corner, which was a bit weird.
-
I was trying to scroll the screenshots. :banghead:

http://davidgom.co.cc/bcalls.html (http://davidgom.co.cc/bcalls.html)
I added a Bcalls list.
I also decided to add an Assemblex page:
http://davidgom.co.cc/assemblex.html (http://davidgom.co.cc/assemblex.html)
On the other hand, the design has been changed and it looks much cooler (in my view).
The contact form is not ready it, though.
EDIT: http://davidgom.co.cc/prizm.html (http://davidgom.co.cc/prizm.html)
The PRIZM Equates tables was updated too.
-
I kinda like it, but I wonder if the green could be slightly lighter? Also an image on the Assemblex page doesn't work because you inverted the last slash. Otherwise it's pretty fine. :)

The image works fine to me :S

Weird, then Opera must not support backslashes. Either way, the <img src="images\assemblexPreview.png" width="452" height="361"> should be <img src="images/assemblexPreview.png" width="452" height="361"> instead, because the image is located at http://davidgom.co.cc/images/assemblexPreview.png not http://davidgom.co.cc/images\assemblexPreview.png
Some browsers must translate backslashes into slashes automatically.

Changing already ;D

**UPDATES**
I improved the Binary/Decimal converter here (http://davidgom.co.cc/binarydecimal.php).
I improved the Random Password Generator here (http://davidgom.co.cc/binarydecimal.php).
I fixed the Assemblex bug, etc.
New Screenshot:

Products Page.
How do you like it?
-
This looks good.
-
Organization of my website now:
>>>Home
>>Contact
>>>Projects
>>Assemblex
>>>Products
>>Random Password Generator
>>Binary/Decimal Converter
It's much simpler this way, there are also other products and products but those are in external websites (ticalc.org, Google Code, etc.)

Nice :)

Nice :)
Oh, I just visited your website! I could use a Downloads section :P

**BUMP**
http://davidgom.co.cc/index.html#contact (http://davidgom.co.cc/index.html#contact)
As you can here (http://davidgom.co.cc/index.html#contact), I have a contact form, but it's not ready yet.
Shall I have a textbox for mail and name or just one text box?
Thanks.

I'd suggest moving the green area so that the gradient is only behind the heading. It looks a bit out of place in the middle of the body IMHO. It looks great otherwise, though. I like the color scheme :)

I'll try and do that, I agree with you :D

For all of you who requested smaller background, I like it more this way!
Thanks :P
What do you think?

I like it.
have you ever thought of doing a background like Omnimaga's?

Looks better :) Especially for people with a smaller screen size. That way the gradient isn't cut off in the bottom edge of the page.

Yep, thanks.

Looks nicer now I think. However for some reasons the submit button is larger than the submit form. It might be best to make them the same size I think.
-
Yeah, it's shifted right a bit. Also for something that large I'd suggest making it taller as well :)

They are the same size to me :P
Google Chrome.

Button design actually depends on your OS.

What is your OS DJ?
Both in Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows 7 they are the same size to me.

I run Windows 7 64 Bit and used Opera 11. However in Opera 11 I use Opera Classic theme (that looks like Opera 8 and 9). Could it have something to do with that?

No idea, but it doesn't really matter, there's no way I can make it equal for *everyone*.
-
thats true, but I think making the best effort to appeal to all your users is also a good idea :)

Which is what I always do: Browser compatibility ;D

I agree with Builderboy, but web design is such a major pain X.x. I am sure some Omni stuff would look different in other browsers than Opera/Firefox. But I don't know HTML/CSS enough to know X.x
In some cases, people give up on IE: They only make sure in IE it works, without worrying about showing fine.

I change my CSS a little bit for IE, but not a lot, I hate testing things on IE due to its loading time :P
Which reminded me to check, it works great, the button is not the same size, though.
The problem is that a number shows up the corner (10) :S
-
For me it won't load too slowly, but pages loads slightly slower than in FF, Chrome and Opera.

I use Chrome all the way, but FF has more extensions.

Yeah, especially for IE7 and below. Sometimes I even add a nasty surprise for them so they at least upgrade to IE8 :P

I love IE9 by the way, it's so pretty (the UI).
-
I never actually looked at it. I liked how IE6-8 were simple, although other browsers are simple in general too, I guess, nowadays.

Chrome is super simple, hence a lot of people like it.
-
Chrome basically looks like a massive file folder on your screen with an address bar on top. It seems like this (http://stuffthathappens.com/blog/2008/03/05/simplicity/) is actually pretty true.
-
Yes, you're right
/me wonder how do you find this images?
-
Hmm? Which?
-
After learning Javascript, I finally made the unit converter much better and Javascript (no PHP loading pages):
http://davidgom.co.cc/unitConv.html (http://davidgom.co.cc/unitConv.html)
What do you think of it?
-
Nice. I'd suggest calling that a "base converter" though -- a "unit converter" converts units, between mPa and atm, for example.
EDIT: Oh, and the navbar looks great :)

Thanks, I changed it to Unit Converter now.
I also like the navbar :P
EDIT:
In the Products section:
http://davidgom.co.cc/products.html (http://davidgom.co.cc/products.html)
There is a new type: Online Databases:
• TI-83+ Series Assembly BCalls List;
• Casio PRIZM Assembly Equates;
• TI-83+ Series Assembly Instructions Opcodes
-
• Casio PRIZM Assembly Equates;
That page is titled wrong. It says "TI-83+ Series Bcalls" :)
