made it for class, tell me what you think, feel free to use the code :)
http://future_history.freehostia.com/dot.html
-
What the heck... it won't work for me... ???
-
It's nice :) It took a bit for me to figure out how to start it though haha. I also think there might be a couple bugs in it but I'm not sure exactly as I'm not entirely sure what the game play is supposed to be. But I like it :D Great works Eeems.
P.S. Best time was 0.06.
-
Pretty good. Found a bug though, you can click anywhere, then hovering on the dot will win the game.
-
You have to click on what I first thought was an ad to start the game. You don't click the dot like the title says, but just hovering over it is enough to win. Its mildly amusing, although I have to admit, its way too easy on my tablet compared to using the mouse. :)
-
Nice work Eeems, but you should make it easier to figure out how to start it, because until I read Quigibo post, I thought it was broken in Opera. Javascript is a major PITA to get to work in multiple browsers x.x
-
Calcdude: what browser are you using?
What bugs exactly? The point is to "catch" the dot by putting your mouse on it. Sorry about the images, Hotlink blocker kicked in...:( I'll fix it tomorrow.
-
Well the only bug I saw in it is that sometimes I would catch the dot then when I moved off the dot it would continue to move around.
-
Hmm, strange...browser?
I haven't seeN this yet with my ff.
-
I'm in Chrome.
-
Ah ok, I'll have to look more into that.
-
moved this to web dev
-
I knew there was a web dev board...I just couldn't seem to find it X.x
thanks!
-
oh it's under non calc dev, as sub forum (along with the rom hacking and computer programming one)
-
Thanks, I'll try to remember, I've gone through the list a few times before looking for it x.x
-
You know what, I'm getting Firefox, now...
And that didn't work either... strange
I'm using win7...
EDIT: Maybe it's just my computer. OpenSUSE w/ firefox (in virtualbox) doesn't work either.
-
Really? Did you click the Image that looks like an ad? It's suppose to have a play/pause image, but they don't seem to like hotlinking anymore :(
-
Yeah, didn't see that... my bad...
(hours later)
stupid... addicting... game.... must... catch... dot...
-
Lol, yeah I had the same issue. I think Eeems should make it more obvious that we need to click them to play :P
-
oops sorry, well I'll work on that today :)
lol is it really that addicting? :P
hopefully I'll get some better images this time :)
EDIT: fixed the images and added a readme popup to the start :) hope you enjoy it, best played on firefox or a webkit browser. Chrome and IE don't handle the border-radius CSS so it doesn't look as good.
-
nice ^^
-
thanks :)
I just noticed that my ipod (which uses webkit) didn't like the border-radius too x.x I'll have to do some debugging, maybe add a -iwebkit-border-radius instead of just the standard -webkit-border-radius...oh well. it's much harder on my ipod x.x
-
you should maybe make it as cross-browser compatible as possible instead of FF-only, else it might look bad toward other ppl.
-
Well it should run fine, but it doesn't render correctly, (just no rounded corners)
-
try and beat this one :P
sorry about the blurryness, I'll get a better shot.
-
wow, did the dot appear like under your mouse pointer? :P
-
no, it can't, it always appears at 400x400, so no idea how I did it x.x
-
Lol
cheater! j/k :P
-
I'm fairly sure I got like 0.06 once, not sure how but ya haha.
-
Lol. I got 0.01 on the 2nd go here is a screenshot. Is there some kind of glitch because I see you got that too
P.S. I am about to explode after using /beep 9999 1000 in the irc channel... it just won't stop
-
wow x.x
