THis looks nice, but two things:

1) The buttons on the side don't work (tested in Opera 11)
2) This should probably be moved to Web development.

Oh of course. they wouldn't work in any browser because i only have one page for the whole site at the mo, therefore they haven't been linked because there is no other pages to link it to... yet.

it should be perfectly be working in every browser, except for Internet Explorer 8 and before of course! :D. (which is what it says on the footer of my page) However when you make the browser window smaller,(not maximised)  You can scroll down forever...

I see. In OMnimaga case I stopped bothering about IE8 compatibility because it's too outdated by web standards, so I just tried to make sure it somewhat works, but I only check if it shows up right in Opera, Firefox and Chrome, and fix it if my knowledge allows me to do so.

IE 7 and before are a nightmare because there are 100s of rules just for these browsers, even IE 8 i think. i guess ie9 is a change so im supporting it at the mo, but not exactly wholeheartly.

Yeah I remember that. IE8 used to be worse than IE7, though. When this forum started, IE7 rendered it better than 8.

Hmm very interesting. I added a piece of Javascript to edit the sidebar and now it works in every browser.... but internet explorer (well on ie it looks all wrong and the sidebar doesn't move). Shows how much IE sucks!!!

I see. Well I'm glad it at least works in most compliant browsers. Sadly most people use IE but it's so hard getting something to work right in it. Maybe you could ask for help in the web dev section?

Yes sadly but the trend is gradually away from microsoft thank goodness.
I guess i'll remove that piece of javascript i added to make it work in IE9 again. I was testing to see if IE9 was competent or not. Well, it looks like it's not. Even the maxthon browser, which is powered by Trident, the same engine as Internet Explorer, worked perfectly fine. It was just a command that IE didn't support that came up as syntax, but every other browser did support that command. So IE9 still isn't much better than previous versions, it just LOOKS better.

List of Browsers on My computer:
Internet Explorer 9 Beta
Firefox 3.6.13, 4.0b11
Chrome 9.0, SRWare Iron 8.0, Chromium 11.0
Opera 11.01
Safari 5
Maxthon 3

Oh wow even in IE9 it failed? O.O

one of the commands in the javascript was not supported by any internet explorer, therefore the design of the page looked bad. let's see if i can post a video of all the browsers in action.

I havent tried internet explorer 9 RC but i doubt the problem has been fixed.

Now i have the video but it is 23 MB, need to put it somewhere.

Wait what was the browser before IE? ??? Was it Mozilla or something? ??? I never saw that icon before. I only know of Safari, Opera, Firefox, Chrome and IE for Windows and I thought Mozilla Original stopped being updated way back in 2004 as well as Netscape Nagivator ???

Looks nice though, and I see the issue in IE x.x.

Hmm strange, could you maybe post about it on the PHPBB support board? To be fair, it could be due to your host not supporting PHP or having too limited PHP support, though. Have you considered trying Freehostia?

By the way as for right now your site doesn't work either.

freehostia? i have heard of that, not sure...
and my site may suffer down times, so possibly i might.
It should work most of the time

5 hours later...
Ok i think i've got it. freehostingcloud has many features that i wasn't even aware of. THere is simplescripts that does the work of installing forums and blogs (and lots of other stuff) for you! trying it now. before i was trying to do it manually.....

All right it works!!! just go to http://www.thedarklegions.freehostingcloud.com/phpBB3
Looks exactly the same as revsoft.org's forum but hope to change it soon.
I might need help integrating this into my website.

I personally prefer option 3. It doesn't look as fancy, but it's more standard.
