Title: What is a better domain name?
Post by: Scipi on December 18, 2010, 11:00:14 pm: Me and my friend are starting up our own site. However, he seems to think that Codeplanet is a good name. I think we should use Coding or some other name. I think codeplanet is mediocre and he even thinks it's just ok, but he just wants it because it's free for a year while coding is only $7 a year. ($7 for a whole year! That's a steal)

We were going to use IDKCoding but someone took it right as we were parking our site there.

We originally wanted IDKcoding so this works for us.

That said, maybe Codeplanet would have been a bit too common so you could get confused with other sites. :P

Post by: DJ Omnimaga on December 23, 2010, 12:11:39 am: Cool :D. A new forum theme would be good. Although some of the PHPBB themes are good, they're used too often so for a smaller site it's good to have a custom one to make it look different.

Post by: DJ Omnimaga on December 26, 2010, 02:06:28 am: I'm generally a fan of having the forum use a theme similar to the main site, personally. Back then, that was often a suggestion from me on MaxCoderz TI forums, as they used the default Ikonboard and later PhpBB2 theme, which didn't match the site. But it depends if you plan to get a very active board, tho, because in that case it might be good to have a light theme for the forums along with the dark one.
