Title: List of bots authorized on #omnimaga

This is an incomplete list of bots allowed on #omnimaga. Forum policy is that verbose bots are not allowed on #omnimaga unless approved, so if you have a bot that serves a purpose that hasn't been served by one of the existing bots, you should PM one of the admins for permission to bring it on the channel.

Only currently active bots have been listed in the table, which means it could be missing quite a few that are permitted but are no longer online. Examples include Sorunome's library lookup bots that were lost with the disappearance of 57o9.

If you have some info to add to the table, please post below (or edit if you're a mod)!

Juju told me I could have a bot in the channel a while ago. I'm working on one that can do unit conversions, and maybe some other stuff.

There was a time when only 1 bot was allowed in #omnimaga , because everyone just kept begging to get their spammy bots with commands such as !slap allowed :P

that would be nice. Just make sure it's not too noisy. Stuff like Runer112 bot is fine, though,  since it's calc related and can't really be abused. I think he even has an auto ignore if someone spams !z80 1D1D1057

It would be as noisy as the users make it, i mean, would you consider bots like axebot noisy? (btw, my bots, unlike runers, don't have flood protection)

Those are fine. I mean bots that makes either too much noise (for example, if AxeBot decided to post like 2-3 lines of text at once) or bots that are totally useless like that one bot we had that had a !n00b command that said /me n00bs <username>. :P

My bot has actually been silently on #omnimaga for the past few months  :P
I guess I'll just take it down. Several of the features broke anyways.

There is a haroldbot which I have seen harold use several times on IRC. It does some sort of integer calculations.

Yeah, haroldbot is for solving equasions, it can only solve integers, though.

Haroldbot is a 32 bit modular math bot. It also has bitwise operations.

Also, just noticed, it is also me who runs Omnom by now, and somehow it ends up in reality not having ops and i don't really care about that >.< (so you can list it as a non-op)

I always found it weird that you ran it but had no privileges on Omni (such as admin or the same level of FTP access as Geekboy or such other member) :P

Also didn't DoorsCS notify of HCWP on Wednesday nights?

I don't think we should let other people have the same power as Geekboy.... He could kill Omnimaga if he wanted to.
Sorunome does have access to the server and we actually don't use FTP to work with it.

I'd like to submit a request for my bot to be allowed on #omnimaga

(I took away all the spam-type functions [EDIT](as in, they are no longer in the code)[/EDIT], btw)

.test -> test received
.time -> current date and time
.paste <pasteString> -> link to pastebin for said string.

EDIT: I can't figure out how to linefeed yet, but I'm working on it.
EDIT2: Linefeeds are single backslashes now ("\"), and backslashes are double backslashes now ("\\")

sure.

.paste is a function that pastes the string that is the argument (no quotes, just anything after the space after the .paste) to pastebin.com for easy storage. For example: ".paste this is a cool function" would paste "this is a cool function" on pastebin, and the bot would give you a link to the paste. A single backslash causes a linefeed, and a double backslash makes a backslash character appear in the paste. The bot is on #omnimaga-spam whenever I'm testing it.

It returns weather or not the ping is successful and returns the response code.

/me pokes geekboy to whitelist OmnomIRC on bot-net because it got kicked earlier (by the bot net) for 'flooding' (the bot was EeemsBot_ but iirc geekboy is in charge), all that was was oirc being pretty active.

So, I moved my bot now to a seperate bot, thus it doesn't have ops and it is a bit more secure in the case a unknown security issue was found (it has none so far as far as i know)

That'd require brute forcing. :P I guess it calculates the checksum though.

Btw, I notice that there are more and more pages being made that are separate from the Omni website. Will those eventually be integrated when the site is upgraded? It would suck if those pages were not easily accessible from the main site D:
