naaa, the first site is always wikipedia anyways. but yeah i should probably have looked that up.i guess ill just torrent that up and try to burn it to a cd.

well i did the knoppix thing and i got it all working, then i did regedit in the run and went to the specified registry ready to dominate this registry out of here. to my dismay the file is exactly as it should be. now im not sure whether this is due to the fact that i am editing the knoppix registry (my main guess) or that the virus is something that i have not read about yet. anyways, i have no clue how linnux/knoppix works so if anyone knows whats going on...

Dunno, I'm not a pretty park expert. First I'd try running a virus scanner in linux and seeing if that found it. Also you probably already tried it, but I found http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Anti-Virus_Utilities/CleanPrettyPark.html program that seems like it would help.

i was under the impression that the windows programs would not work using knoppix

There are many unix virus scanners. Also, windows programs usually work okay in wine (or cedega for games).

EDIT: also, are you sure what you have is the pretty park virus? O_O

I thought that was like, a weaksauce email virus that sends emails to other people with the virus and stuff. Easy to balete. You say the virus you have won't let you run an executable? o.o

well initially thats what i thought, but im almost certain that its not, firstly bbecause mecafe has it in their virus list and i did multiple scans with mecafe and also because almost no types of files will run, it is odd though, i can go on the net with operah, or download torrents with azureus and i can open word and do alot of stuff but nothing that will help me to get rid of it...
i'd download wine but i cant seem to get internet working when booted up with knoppix...actually, ill just dl it on this comp and thumb it over there
