You don't see that everyday in a store
« on: April 26, 2012, 09:56:00 pm »
Earlier, I went to Laurier shopping mall with juju at the Dimension store, and guess what I saw?

1) The original Earthbound SNES boxset that includes the official strategy guide, still in good shape O.O
2) Terranigma for the Super Famicom. This was the first time I see a japanese SNES game for sale over here, let alone a rare RPG O.O

Earthbound costed $499.99, though... <_<

Yup. Both. In the same store. While I spend lots of money on games and anime.

Thursday is definitely my "Shut up and take my money" day.

Spoiler For funny life mathematics:
1. ROMANCE MATHEMATICS
Smart man + smart woman = romance
Smart man + dumb woman = affair
Dumb man + smart woman = marriage
Dumb man + dumb woman = pregnancy
2. OFFICE ARITHMETIC
Smart boss + smart employee = profit
Smart boss + dumb employee = production
Dumb boss + smart employee = promotion
Dumb boss + dumb employee = overtime
3. SHOPPING MATH
A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.
A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need.
4. GENERAL EQUATIONS & STATISTICS
A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.
A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.
A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.
5. HAPPINESS
To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little.
To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.
6. LONGEVITY
Married men live longer than single men do, but married men are a lot more willing to die.
7. PROPENSITY TO CHANGE
A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, and she does.
8. DISCUSSION TECHNIQUE
A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

Girls = Time * Money (Girls are a combination of time and money)
Time = Money (Time is money)
Girls = Money squared (So, girls are money squared)
Money = sqrt(Evil) (Money is also the root of all evil)
Girls = sqrt(Evil) squared (So, girls are the root of all evil squared)
Girls = Evil (Thus, girls are evil)
*Girls=Evil credit goes to Compynerd255*

Yeah D:, but I guess that's because it's rare in that format. The box was really big, too. XD

By the way I came back there again afterward with Juju and asked how much did Terranigma cost and the guy said it was the same price as Earthbound complete edition ($499.99)

Terranigma? I love that game. How much was it?

@AzNg it's all about collectibility. If it was only about playing on the original console then people would buy flashcarts. A quick google showed one for $130, which supported multiple roms on CF cards.
