It seems I need to downgrade to 3.1 to be able to play emulators? But i have read that you cant downgrade a J model nspire....

Isnt there any other way to use emulator on my calculator?

Sorry, there is no other way

. You have to get the receipt then get a refund (maybe use the excuse that you picked the wrong calc and needed a calc they don't have in stock). Then try to get an used one somewhere while making sure that it ends with the letter H or below and that the calc works. Even then, though, if the calc was updated to 3.2.4 too, you might need a special adapter to downgrade it (but at least with letter A to H that special adapter works)

Was it confirmed that HW-H Nspire CX are compatible with Boot2 3.1 and that HW-I are not?

I don't know. IIRC you said that H was confirmed to work, right? In any case, nobody confirmed I's state, which is why I didn't recommend it yet.
