strange laptop screen
« on: June 18, 2012, 03:15:28 pm »
IDK how to describe it but i'll be on the laptop doing nothing in particular and randomly the screen will slowly (in steps not all of a sudden) start to loose brightness (as if you where turning the brightness down) but the colors (at the same rate) begin to get brighter/whiter until the piont where what used to be gray is now really white, purple is like bright-pink, etc.  I can only fix it by closing the laptop and re-opening it then its fine, none of the settings are changed before or after this happens.  I'm not too worried about it because I can sorta fix it, but i guess whats grinding my gears is I don't have a clue whats causing it, any ideas?  Oh it's a 16:9 HD LED LCD screen if that helps.

well... recently something similar happened to me: it got much worse and then it gained a single word to describe it: trash.

I have had a similar issue on my netbook. It might be related to your bios, so check for an update. Also be sure you got the correct graphics driver.

I had a similar issue where it was like someone turned the color and contrast extremely high and the screen just looked funky. Mine would go away on it's own though...

You can build a statue out of either 1'x1' blocks or 12'x12' blocks. The 1'x1' blocks will take a lot longer, but the final product is worth it.
