No I'm saying it's like a midi file (you can actually export it to midi in the program) just better

I personally can't understand how people can live their lives with their desktop so cluttered up. I certainly had a phase where I would clutter my desktop up, too, but it got annoying fast. Anything I won't be using for more than a few weeks or that I deem way too important to not have fast access to goes in my "Unused Icons and Files" folder, so they're still there if I ever need them again. I keep most of my icons on the outside of the screen so I can still access them while my dev environment is open. Also, for the love of all that is holy, make your taskbar dual-layered. You can fit so much more in there and still have room for everything else while still having everything readily available.

Aaaanyway. That's just me. This is my second screenshot, but this time, it's of a clear desktop.
A Cherry-Flavored Iambian draws near... what do you do? ...

I used to kind of organize my icons the same way back when I used Windows. Now, though, I barely have any icons on my desktop, since I always leave programs open on several virtual desktops so I never get to see the desktop anyway (why let all that screen space go to waste). :) That might be also why I've been too lazy to change the background picture in months—what's the point when I rarely see it. I have buttons and a small command-line box on my taskbar thing to open stuff quickly.

I have a ssh applet in my panel and run tilda to quickly access a terminal and various servers. I'm much like Travis though, since I hardly ever actually see what the desktop is.

(And have I mentioned how awesome Travis is? Because he totally is)

Upgraded to Windows 7 RC and I've been enjoying it.
I'm using the background rotation thing they have that changes the background at certain intervals.
It's currently set to change every hour. Anyway, this theme is for drawings done by my ex-girlfriend.
(Not all of them shown above. Just the ones I remember to screenshot.)

Also, I found a series of cool icons and set-up my folders and such appropriately.
Um... I like it.

this looks very nice. The day I get a new PC (I hope) I'll most likely have windows 7 on it, if it's not alerady pre-installed. Much less ressource intensive than Vista. Right now I got XP, but my PC is way too old to run Vista and with 7 it would be slow x.x
