heh.. I used to trick other people all the time and annoy people then my teacher got on me.. I used to press the windows key with 'e' rapidly at the same time, then turned the screen upside down while turning on sticky keys and putting it into high contrast mode LOL. Yeah... teacher wasn't happy lol. I also herd that there was this kid that was able to lock the teachers computer with the same software that locks ours XD
Loved this place, still the best producers of power metal, and sparked my dreams of coding.

Throw some laxatives, opiates and lots of Olestra into a batch of hash brownies.

Sure, they'll literally crap themselves before they can get anywhere within the vicinity of a toilet, but they'll do it with a smile on their faces. :D

Lol, this reminds me that Major Paine movie :P

At school the only thing people did was opening command prompt on computers and writing stuff saying the computer got a virus and everything was deleted and people believed them, even teachers. :P

Besides that, some people put stuff in classroom keyholes so the teacher was not able to unlock the classroom. The later is bad x.x

An even better one to top the Top Secret Folder trick.

Make a screenshot of the desktop, make it the desktop background, then uncheck "Show Desktop Icons"
Every single icon looks like its there, but you can't do anything to them.

At school, the login system is not handled by Windows, but by Novell, so all the Windows logins were the same, allowing us to remotely start tasks on all the computers of the school. As computer science students, we wrote an application in C# that Console.Beep()'d the Mario theme song and started it on all the computers of the classroom at once. That was not perfect though, since the .bat file started one task only 2-3 seconds after the other... It's also fun to target only one computer and remotely start Firefox with a rickroll page for the target, while he's working (you know, the ones who are difficult to escape from? xD).

First time: "Woah who did that?"
All the other times: "Stop doing that, Julien -_-"

Hours and hours of endless fun.

Remember the day the walrus started to fly...

I finally cleared my sig after 4 years you're happy now?

A kid (later expelled, as our "man" is afraid of tech,) put age of empires 1 on every single computer at our school.  needless to say, with our low memory computers, we completely ran out of memory.  Everything was so slow that it took 5 days to get rid of them all. :D   (i probably;y could have done it in an hour)

Another thing. our command prompt has two protections.  one to all files, and this one,

so i just Googled, how to block command prompt, 1st page, showed how to block and unblock :P

We can't rightclick nor change the background on our computers, so I did this:
Printscreen the desktop, make a PowerPoint with 100 slides (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+P ftw) with all that picture in it.
Teacher kept on clicking :)

Splut for Android [----------]
Paused/halted indefinitely, might be abandoned, our graphic designer quit and the rest of us simply doesn't have the time to work on it...

Ive done the screenshot/set as desktop/hide icons one. Also ive edited the settings to different printers by putting the local ip of the printer into firefox. My school had a few macs, and in mac OS X if you hold control+alt+apple+8 it inverts the colors. @eriktheorange: what did you do to the registry to make that happen? i want to try

Lol don't worry, I don't think much people here really spend their entire time doing that, though. Else it would be blatant troublemaking/bullying/vandalism and I don't think people here advocates such behavior :P. Usually if those pranks are done, it will just be for fun or if someone really caused trouble to them.

At my school, we have almost all macs (which I don't know how to do anything cool on :P). The one room where we have PCs is the tech room, where I send messages over the network saying random crap.

My school's robotics shop computers were all infected with viruses because some idiot brought in an infected flash drive.
So what I did was open up Security Center, use Paint to modify the antivirus part of it so that it said "This computer has been infected with (some number of) viruses!", and screenshot/desktop background.
Someone else happened to do the background thing on another computer, except he also renamed all the icons to inappropriate things (Turbo C++ became Turbo Vibrator, for example)
