I personally stayed away from Linux because everything I need is already on Windows. I might eventually switch if I ever need to use stuff that is much better on Linux. It doesn't help that I'm not a programmer.

@Juju the thing tho is that all programs were the same as on my computer, but 2 years older versions. O.O

I saw somewhere that 74% of computers are running XP. I wonder if that includes computers with dual boot OS's.

Well the thing about Vista is that apparently a computer like my old one wouldn't run it, even at lowest settings, or would run it at ridiculously slow speed with crashes, yet Seven would run fine. Windows 7 was basically Windows Vista but optimized, although the addition of some new stuff might not make it sound like it's really less resource intensive.

Lets see... My favorite would be win 7 followed by Win XP. The old DOS listed below would probably be 3rd. 8)
Oses I've used:

Old mac OS (with Macs that had the 5.25 floppy disk dirves)
DOS on an old IBM X86 with a 5.25 floppy.
Windows 2.?
Windows 3.1
Windows 95
Windows 98
Windows NT
Mac OS (circa 2000)
Windows 2000
Windows ME
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Windows 7

My favourite OS is Mint, I guess Ubuntu made it to become the best Linux distro, but their 11 version was very buggy and Unity is not so huh, good. So, I moved to Mint and am loving it.

Actually I was for long a real Linux(well Ubuntu at least) HATER.
I hated it. I really had a bad experience once while trying to install xubuntu on an iBook.(I don't care if it wasn't Xubuntu's fault Jim :P)

But happily I got a bit over that.
