hmm, I'm kinda torn too, I have an iTouch, and I love it (only jailbroken though) but I don't know how good the droid one would be

Yeah, the fact that more people use it means more Apps, more tutorials, more info on bugs, if you have problems its also easier.

Another thing is that iTouch is Apple's and Apple's is awesomeness'es

the Pandigital is hackable to run all android apps as well and use all of the ebooks shops ( yes im looking for more of a ebook device here but i know the itouch is awesome :P)

just to throw pricing into the loop

Go for the Pandigital.
It runs Android.
You can hack it.
You can read books on it and it's larger.
With expandable memory.

Nuff said.
