Hello,
I'm having some trouble getting my iEdge card to work on my Nintendo DS Lite.  The instructions say to create a bootstrap file from a Sudoku rom.  I have acquired the appropriate ROM, and created the bupdate.bin file.  The readme says to place the file on my FAT32 formatted micro-sd card and place it in the DS.  It says to turn it on and leave your DS alone.  The red LED on the card will proceed to flash progressively faster as it installs the bootstrap.  However, this is where I encounter problems.  My iEdge card has a solid red light on the back.
The only place where I deviated from the instructions was when I created the bootstrap file; in this case, I was given a functional bootstrap file to use.  Perhaps the bootstrap creation program does something funky to my Micro SD card?
Any help?

What is the iEdge card and what are you trying to do?

It's a DS homebrew card that I'm just trying to get working in the first place.

Hmm...did you ever put the OS onto your card? The reference manuals that come with these things aren't very descriptive.

I don't have the same card as you, but I might be able to help. I have a fake R4 clone.

Since you're not using a DSi, you probably won't need to update it much, as most of the updates will probably be around that and specific fixes for new games.

Hi,
So I eventually got it working.  Turns out I was right about where the problem lied, and just had to run the program on my computer, and apply it to my micro sd card, and it worked fine.  So turns out that I just had to follow the instructions :)
And actually, the Edge card has some pretty detailed instructions.  They have a 7 or 8 page manual.

I've seen some IRC logs a few days ago about this, and I rememebred you wanted this for a while. When I saw the logs saying it didn't work, I got scared that you got ripped/scammed or that you picked the wrong card. It would have sucked x.x

I'm glad you got it to work.

Thanks!  I'm pretty good about getting the right hardware, usually, but I'm not so great about following the instructions x.x

Also I just noticed it was posted in the wrong section (spam) so I moved it

EDIT: Oh wait now there are two topics of the same name, so I renamed the other.
