The actual tower is under the desk. Ugly lil standard-tower, filled to the brim with high-tech (ok, not so high-tech anymore) ^_^

2Ghz pentium M
15.4" wide sxga+ (1680*1050) screen
radeon x700
1GB ram
100GB hdd
4hrs battery

I have no speakers though. :'( Only craptastic built in speakers (and everyone knows how great laptop speakers are). I use my headset.

Been using it since the beginning of June this year. :)smile.gif I may have to build a desktop when dx10 graphics cards come out though. :oohmy.gif I expect this will last as a laptop for many years to come. :)smile.gif

The coolest computer ever made...

The Commodore SX-64 (1983-1984)

Specs:
5" Color CRT (320x200, 16 colors)
64Kb RAM
1MHz MOS 6510 CPU (slightly modified Apple IIe CPU)
5.25 Floppy Disk Drive (each disk can hold 170Kb)
Built in sound!

Ports:
Cartridge Port
Serial Bus Port (daisy chain up to 4 devices - precursor to USB)
S-Video Out
Composite Video Out
2 Joystick Ports

Notes: Look at the super cool handle that doubles as a stand. :gah:fou.gif
And I should not forget... it weighs a mere 30lbs. O_Oshocked2.gif

Simply amazing!

My other computer is nothing special:

Sony GRX-650
1.8GHz P4M
512Mb DDR 2100
40GB 5400 RPM HDD
ATI Radeon 7500 w/32Mb dedicated video memory
16.1" UXGA screen (1600x1200 - Absolutely beautiful)
Very nice (and loud) internal speakers! I love 'em.

Note: If it was not for the uber screen, this laptop would be listed on eBay.

 How did you guess? :???:confus.gif

I'm not one of those obsessive compulsive C-64 fanatics :lolz:s003.gif , but I do love my SX-64. :wub:wub.gif

I'll have to post one of my pictures of Project Dinosaur if I can find them once i get home. Basically, Project dinosaur was something I cooked up to see how low I could go spec wise and still get a PC to connect to the Internet. It had a 2400 baud external modem that it used for dial-up, and used arachne as the browser. Next thing I want to try is getting it on broadband. I got a parallel to Ethernet adapter I'm going to try on it one of these days.

Anyway, it's based on one of http://www.computermuseum.li/Testpage/Zenith-Laptops.htm, so it's portable at least.
