RIM's BlackBerry Playbook.
« on: March 28, 2011, 08:56:45 am »
So apparently RIM is making a tablet that supports BB apps, Android apps, C/C++ apps, Flash, and HTML5. It also has mutitasking and comes with a slew of built in apps. It sounds like a possible iPad killer!! :w00t:

I think that's what's left in iPad: Flash and Java support.

I wonder if enough competing tablets come out if prices will finally go down. $500 for a tablet is still kinda a bit too expensive for me (I can get a computer for that). X.x
In case you are wondering where I went, I left Omni back in 2015 to form CodeWalrus due to various reasons explained back then, but I stopped calc dev in 2016 and am now mostly active on the CW Discord server at https://discord.gg/cuZcfcF

I hope so.
I've already seen tablet for 98€, but then they are just a piece of junk that run android.
It would be better to spend a little more for something that will be 10 times more usefull.

And they can use XML too (but that's not *really* a language).

I've seen more articles in web pages about this tablet. Everybody seems enthusiastic.
