Here's a link to the TI calculators up through the TI-85. A list of ALL of the newer TI calculators can be found here. A good source of general TI information is http://www.vcalc.net/ti.htm. I saw an HP timeline once, but nobody cares about HP, right  ;)

Oh right I remember that Casio link now. I wish they were all in order tho x.x

I should maybe make a timeline of all graphing calcs by TI, Casio and HP into one. As for HP there isn't much of a community it seems. THere were some programs back then but it seems dead. It never even became as active as the TI or Casio community. What I often heard were complaints that those calcs were too hard to use compared to TI and Casio calcs.

I HAD an HP. I never figured out how to use it. Bloody difficult and the documentation wasn't much better. I ended up graphing by hand rather than use the thing, until I bought my current 84+ SE.

One thing I have heard was about the RPN. Could you even select regular calculation mode, like 2+2, giving 4 as answer, or were you forced to use reverse polish notation? For anyone who don't know what RPN might look like, this XKCD kinda illustrates it: http://xkcd.com/645/

I heard in newer calcs you could use regular mode. I heard that one of the new calc had clunky keys, though, which broke easier. I think it was the 49G+. The 50G looked promising but I never found a community for it that produces games and stuff. It seems like only the TI community got forums where people can showcase their projects.

I don't know. I could never figure out anything on it. Even addition/multiplication/subtraction/division was kind of difficult (although not RPN difficult. It was a hybrid between the two, I think). And yes, the keys were awkward.
