I decided to attempt to find a mandolin player. It would really help the mafia theme

Here's a snippet of a bass line I'm working on for one song. I improved it a lot since I last recorded it but I'll upload it anyway (I doubled up the notes and made it less repetitive, but I'm too lazy to re-record

).

We successfully played through 4 of the songs today (and one more that the guitarist pulled out of nowhere). Unfortunately some of the songs had to really be slowed down.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and we have a name, Crank the Skank

I'm playing a show with Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, Less Then Jake, Mustard Plug, etc (i.e. some of the biggest names in modern ska) on July 10.

I plan on posting all of the lyrics in a bundle, they won't make sense except when viewed together (which is part of the beauty of the project)

I found a singer. Actually, he's probably the most talented trumpet player in the High School, but he's just gonna sing for us (and write some horn lines).
