Supreme combination of dissonance and harmony!  :D
I really like the chord modulations in the intro.

EDIT: 3:15 sounds like Bach's Toccata and Fugue :)

Thanks. Do you mean the very begginning or when the beat finally starts?

Also about 3:15 you might actually recognize that part from several video game songs (RPGs) and also some power metal music as well. It's rather common in that type of music and for some reasons it always seems to make the song more epic, like if you're wandering in the final dungeon of something.

My song Tales of the Knight of the Moon has that part too.

(Also thanks juju for uploading this)

Yeah, I mean before the beat starts.

Also, I have recently recognized a lot of video game music borrowing patterns from classical music.  Another example is the credits theme of Super Mario Brothers 2, which borrows the chord pattern from Pachelbel's Canon.

Which is legal, since it's Public Domain. They don't have to give credit at all. I'm glad for it, since I find it improves the music.

Yeah. Also with 8000000 songs in the world, if every artist started copyrighting melody arrangements they created nobody would be able to create music anymore.

On a side note I have quit putting my music on Newgrounds now. It just gets 2/5 or 3/5 rating when I put them there anyway and they don,t even have a power metal category. It might also make it easier when i decide to sell my electronic power metal songs on Bandcamp.

DJ, do you make your melodies first or make the chord progressions first?  Just curious.  :)

It depends of the song. Often I do the chord progressions first, but in the case of La Porte du Soleil, I made the melody first.
