Account validation via e-mail activated
« on: June 17, 2006, 05:29:00 am »
Due to a recent influx of spambots on the forums I decided to enable account verification via e-mail. This means that if you register on the forums, you will be put in the validating usergroup and you'll receive an e-mail to activate your account, thus allowing you to post on the forums. If you don't activate your account in a period of 30 days the account is automatically deleted. I generally don't like this process because this slow down registration process but we have to do this to prevent automated registration and we want a calculator forum, not a porno and lottery forum. Sorry for the inconvenience this might cause. If you register and do not receive the e-mail to validate your account send me an e-mail at o m n i m a g a @ g m a i l . c o m and I will activate the account for you.

That's fair. Especially after How to waterski in Thailand?
One of these days I'll get a sig I'm really proud of.

Good call, there is no need for spambots.
