Non-calc development section expanded
« on: March 05, 2011, 12:33:25 am »
After some requests, we decided to expand the non-calc-related development section of the Omnimaga forums further. For the past few months, there have been an increase in interest towards technology-related discussions and computer programming on Omnimaga and we thought it would be best to have everything related to such topics in one category.

The technology, hardware and electronics sub-forum has been relocated from the random discussion section to the non-calc development one, which was renamed to "Non-Calc Development and Technology Discussion", and the computer development sub-forum has been split in half, giving the "Computer Projects and Ideas" and the "Computer Programming Help" ones.

So from now on, Omnimaga has an entire board dedicated to non-calculator related development and technology discussion, including the already existing web development, ROM hacking and homebrew sections, obviously.

Besides that, we discovered that the Random Discussion category caused confusion between the Miscellaneous and Randomness boards, so it was renamed to Other Discussions. Eventually we plan to expand this section as well, such as merging cartoon shows with anime and adding other movies and TV sections.

Enjoy!

this is great I was hoping something like this would happen
I think It might be a good idea to have a different sub forum for the languages like the calc development forum

There was, but it was under "Random discussion," which caused confusion. I like the changes :D

How nice. I always thought "random discussion" might be a confusing title for some people. :)
