I was looking at Jimes Mode 7, it may be a older demo but it is a lot slower than yours...but here is the code if you want something to look at :P

it's not mine, it's calc84maniac's  seems he finally decided to go ahead with that plan.  I totally forgot about that post.

calc84maniac did say he's using SE speed though :(  pity for the BE users

kalan_vod ponders how cool it would be to have a game like F-Zero on the z80s, DAM* you 68ks! :P
