My Prizm arrived!
Due to dissatisfaction, I will be inactive on Omnimaga until further notice. (?? THP hasn't been much success and there's also the CE. I might possibly be here for a while.)
If you want to implore me to come back, or otherwise contact me, I can be found on GitHub (bluebear94), Twitter (@melranosF_), Reddit (/u/Fluffy8x), or e-mail (if you know my address). As a last resort, send me a PM on Cemetech (bluebear94) or join Touhou Prono (don't be fooled by the name). I've also enabled notifications for PMs on Omnimaga, but I don't advise using that since I might be banned.

Depends on where you get it. Personally I got mine for US $100, so about the same price as an 83+. I've heard of it priced higher tho.

Care to resize that? It's a bit massive.

Much better, thanks. :) *edit* It's the same size, but at least it's scaling now. When I first looked at the post it was showing full size with scroll bars. Eh, w/e.

Well it's still alive, it's just that in 2011-12, after our only 2 PRIZM ASM coders stopped calc programming, almost every PRIZM user here migrated (and maybe some were invited? :P) to Cemetech and even now PRIZM dev was a bit quiet there in general lately.

I doubt PRIZM development will ever see nearly as much love as the 84+ series. The 84+ had years of developers working up to it, not only from the 83+, but from all the past z80 calcs all the way back to the 81! The z80 became the de-facto standard for calculator programming, and the community just kept getting better at it.

This has not been the case with the PRIZM. Not that it's a bad platform or anything, it just doesn't have the background. The nspire suffers from a similar dilemma.

But the nspire stuff around here seems still more popular than the PRIZM, is that only because TI is more popular?

The specs and the desire to jailbreak could be other causes.

The nspire has also existed for a much longer period of time, and it uses a more common architecture.
