Computer Projects and Ideas / Re: A New Programming Language
« on: February 24, 2012, 07:06:56 pm »
I'm with ruler in saying I'd like to see some syntax, but it sounds cool! I'm actually looking into compiler design myself, but not for direct machine code- I'm trying to use the .NET Framework as a base, but I'm going to create a parser, lexer, etc. all from scratch. I'm decent with C++, so if you need any help or anything feel free to ask.

Good luck!

I would guess it's for general discussion, but we've been using it for OmniMine. And we need a time when we can all go on, or do what someone (I think either FinaleTI or Qwerty) suggested: only have three or four people on at a time because six or seven people for one survival video would be too many. I've had a lot of homework lately, so I think my time window for going on is growing smaller.

I don't know what it does assembly wise, but Fix 5 draws text on the buffer (I think that's what it says in the documentation...).

I went to graph something with Wabbit and the Stat plot menu thing isn't showing :O
I think that's controlled by a system flag. Does resetting RAM fix it?

EDIT: textWrite, sGrFlags. It's the one controlled by Fix 4/5 in Axe.

Yeah, I ran and compiled an Axe program that used Fix 5, so I guess that might've been it. I've reset it a couple times to get rid of a bunch of programs, but see below.

Buckeye, my BootFree version is 11.246. When I press MODE sometimes nothing shows up, and when I did ALPHA+S (this was the second time I did it), the only thing that showed up was the BootFree code and the BASE code.

Math and Science / Re: Why doesn't zero divided by zero work

Well it seems that all of the fancy and complex responses have been taken... The simplest way it was described to me was that you can't take nothing from nothing, because there's nothing to give and you're really not getting anything in return.

inb4 someone finds some logical fallacy with that.

Exactly what happened in my school. Every day in pre-calculus I programmed or did something on my 84 because I didn't feel like paying attention to stuff we already learned (we're still reviewing things from last year -_-), and though no one made fun of me, no one cared. Now I come to school with my Prizm and everyone's all googly-eyed over it because it has colors and displays sin(60) as root(3)/2 lol.

eBay doesn't count :P

Recording-wise, I tried CamStudio on my desktop and it wasn't too bad, so if I mod it with OptiFine it should be better. Then again, that was single player, and my room is the room farthest away from the modem :/

That map reminds me of Pallet Town...lol

Well I'll be darned... I see what you mean lol. Maybe Pokemon was influencing me through my subconscious O.O

Oh, Deep Thought deleted his post. I guess it didn't do what he thought you wanted. Anyway, yeah I can try it but like I said, it'd be later tonight.

I thought SourceCoder would do that? And if I did it might not be till later tonight, I have a lot going on today.

131
Oh... Or you could use that... lol

I might be able to throw one together in .NET, but the colors (i.e. their RGB values) would have to be exact. If they were even off by one byte it wouldn't separate them correctly. Picture format wouldn't really be a problem because .NET has support for BMP (which is its native), PNG, TIFF, JPG, GIF, and ICO.

Yeah it's Axe. I know that grayscale is possible. In fact, I think I actually do know how to do it...

* BlakPilar goes to test in Wabbit.

EDIT: Yeah, I know how to do grayscale.

saintrunner made the sword, and the front and back sprites, so he gets the credit for those lol. I don't know anything about grayscale, but maybe saint does. If not we'll have to read up on it.

Lol, it's cool. I made the sprites based off of Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, but the trees are from Oracle of Seasons, I think.
