I am proud (not really ) to announce what will (most likely) be my contest entry for the 3rd round For those who own it on their iPhone/iPod/iPad, you can skip the description. For the others, Mister Oops!! is a game in which you control Mr Oops, and for some reason, you are trapped on a checkerboard with objects trying to kill you. This is like The Game: you can't win. The aim is only to make score. When you die in a level, you pass to the next and there is only 3 levels in the free version (I don't own any Apple device and I can't convince my friends to pay for the non-free version ). But I added the Kamikaze mode (name can be changed) in which objects are "randomly generated". And for your viewing pleasure: ← Classic mode ← Kamikaze mode (note: I didn't make this topic before my game looked like a game but it is far from finished) (note 2: the grey is not that beautiful on a real calc but the game runs a bit faster)

Axe calculates it when compiling. (You can optimize it more as {A+L1+200}, by the way. Always put constants after.)
Ok thanks (and for putting constants after, I do it for little pieces of code like A+3→A but I always forget it otherwise -.-°)

Yeah this is why, if I remember, KermMartian decided at one point to no longer release the source of his programs, unless someone on calc forums that has a decent amount of activity and can somewhat be trusted asks for it privately.
Same for me. Zero44 asked me the source code of Pokemon by email. I asked which part of it was interesting for him and in fact he only needed the structure of the savegame to make his linking program (which was successfully done). Btw NEVER release the source of one of your program before you have announced it or released the executable of it on a popular calculator forum!!!!! In the past I saw people releasing source anonymously somewhere or on a forum they were not very active on and then someone released the program, compiled as his own work, then it became hard for ticalc.org to figure out who to trust as the real author, as the theft released his copy before the original author.
Yeah, it would be bad to be the coder and be seen as the theft

When I say {L1+200+A}, is L1+200 calculated when parsing or when executing ?

Lost: The Game Cause: Jimbauwens Solution: Slap him with a large trout on IRC.
I would never do something like that!
I never really had a bad disaster, since I always keep copies. I think all calculator games/programs should be open source, so they can never die. My programs all are, and because of that I share pre-release code with my friends (Adriweb, Levak, Critor, etc) making them a backup medium too And github is a good help too
The problem with open source is that I already saw people adding their name and/or remove names in the credits (not people from the community, just guys thinking they were smart in my school). LostA bit of progress CauseI don't know. It may be zStart or not. I just remember that I unarchived the source to group it, then I rearchived it and everything I tried with the source threw "ERR:Memory", except archiving/unarchiving it again. Then, sending the group to the computer didn't work either (invalid format or some other stupid reason). I keep having bugs like this. Once I tried to send the source to another calc and the beginning of the program was missing . Some other time, I used Rcl on an archived prog and it copied hieroglyphs among my code but compiling worked well SolutionBackup a lot. I have a lot of copies of my source on two computers (more of them on my sister's computer because of the touchpad drag and drop thing )

Your game reminds me of Robbox, so I like it (If you don't know Robbox, it is a flash free (iirc) game, so you can google it, download it, try it, have fun and even maybe find inspiration for your levels from it. Some levels were quite hard )

Also in response to Hayleia I don't think it matters anymore if it's a good idea to release this or not. The harm was already done with PTT patches and fake mem clears on the TI-83+ years ago and since then, TI has taken a strong stance against third-party hacking and when TI-Planet people tried to convince TI that Ndless was not meant to cheat, it was already too late.
Yeah, they might never change their mind . I was just pointing out the fact that it is sure that they will not change their mind if OS Launcher keeps being updated, not saying that discontinuing it would change their mind in one day. I would say that at this point, what matters the most is that no cheating tool comes out on the Casio PRIZM, since Casio has given us a chance that, IMHO, we should not blow up.
I agree. Even if it is less powerful, it will always be able to run programs, without waiting for months before the jailbreak. I need to buy one by the way

Wow, that is really amazing. I can imagine it being really useful for testing Axe programs
True. My Pokemon game takes more than one minute to compile, and when testing, I can lose half an hour of coding just with this. Awesome tool

This happened to me too when using the direct USB cable, but the SilverLink worked well.

I hate those touchpads. Everytime I always click stuff by mistake because it's too sensitive. I wish we had to press it to click stuff, like on a TI-Nspire, but without the choppiness of the TI-Nspire touchpad.
Have you ever tried to drag and drop a file to the right place using a touchpad ? I always land in the wrong folder (at least, I have a lot of backups of my contest program now )

No mouse?
EDIT: Unless you mean you're on a laptop, stuck with the touchpad, or mobile?
Sorry for the delay before answering but the connexion is very limited here. I am using a laptop so I have a touchpad but I am used to using a mouse so I am very slow with this.

Yeah, I will. Moreover, it seems that I have access to the internet here But it is a lot less comfortable than at home (no mouse, slower,...), so I will not be as active as at home.

How long will you be in vacations by the way? Is it for the rest of the Spring/Summer or just this weekend?
Yeah, I forgot to say that I am just leaving for one week

Tomorrow, I am going on holidays and don't know if there will be access to the internet. (just so you don't wonder where I am )

This is why I love the calculator community.
