Chipmunk's physics engine allow you to create such a thing, actually, it's just a matter of having joints. Pretty much the same thing as : http://developer.coronalabs.com/content/chains (not the same eaxc syntax, but pivot/pin(?) joints on the bodies and boom there you go.
Now with the speed, it's still slow on the calc, but it's worth trying, just to test what rope physics give, with chipmunk.
that's exactly what I did, there's no difference I guess

Hm, it looks like that isn't true segmented rope physics though - each individual segment doesn't appear to affect the forces on the other segments (for example, when you yank the rope the ball doesn't fly upwards)
that's what i meant with it seems to work at first sight, but it isn't really what it should be

Now try this on calc and cry =(
Damn, i thought it would be faster, but no..you're right

Hi Here is another video of a script I made today (I didn't really work long on it, so it's not really complete and useable) that i wanted to show you. It is a rope physics script that can be downloaded below. The video description tells more about it, everyone can use it if they want, feel free, but as I told you, it is not really working as it should be. For example the gravity seems to work perfectly as you look, but in the code it's a total mess

Well, it seems very promising. I'll test it asap, but I can't acces internet with my phone right now. This really looks good, did you port it yourself?

hmm, thanks for that fast reply well, that's sad indeed.. Isn't there any speed improvement with the non-physics Lua on the handheld? (I haven't upgraded, and I won't) That might be an idea, I guess a Lua physics engine would run smoother then, but that's a massive amount of work, especially the colission detection, how do you even do that with polygons?

So, I looked into the documentation, and could not find any sign of liquidsimulation. Is this present in the physics lib or not? It's sad to see that noone has made a game with it yet, someone should try this out

What I hope is that with Windows 8 arrival, that standard desktop/laptop OSes won't disappear entirely.
All I can tell you is that I run win8, and I use it exactly the same as win7. The only difference it makes is that the start menu from the left lower corner now fills the screen and uses tiles, but that's it. You can choose whatever view you use, and I chose to fully use the desktop, as I'm used to it, and the apps for the metro style are not that developed yet. E.g. there's no decent media app yet, iirc i saw vlc developing one (on kickstarter), so it's still a major PITA to get everything running in metro, that's why I use the desktop. Everything compatible with win7 is compatible with win8 desktop, so no worries

Well, i have a torx screwdriver set, so that's not really a problem, but thanks

I'd rather go with the 2nd option, since then I only need one cable. I'll try it someday this week and I'll let you know if I discoversomething strange or unusual. Thanks both keoni29 and thepenguin77

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to connect the +5V and GND of the usb connection of a TI-84+ to the battery + and -. I would place a switch inbetween ofcourse (in case of willing to use with batteries and usb). The batteries deliver 4.8-6V (rechargeable and non-rechargeable), so the 5V of the usb would be the perfect voltage. I'm not really sure though, since it might maybe somehow destroy something, and I don't want that.
The reason I want to change this is because I only use my 84+ on my desk near my pc, and not even often, just sometimes for some gametesting for the forum here. I don't use it enough, so everytime I want to use it I have to begin a giant quest to find the needed batteries for it. With the usb connected, i'd just have to connect it to my pc and get started...

The linux version [should] work with a powered usb hub that has a wifi/lan adapter connected, so without any pc

Another nice improvement might be the use of a class for the duck (and other). That'll make it much more easy do code, and a lot cleaner.

For now I would rather stick with Android and wait if Ubuntu Phone OS gets more popular.
I'm afraid it will only be popular in the group of developers. Android an iOS are too much expansed to be able to get to their stage, so I guess it will purely be people willing to convert their phone to an Ubuntu phone, and those people are people that e.g. Change ROMs nowadays, and that's not the biggest group ever
