wow, this is a great game :o maybe you could just use semicolons (;) to split words, and the look for the matching ; so split them up, that would be the most easy way i think..

is it correct if i saw that you don't get extra points if you make a word you already formed, or did i just look bad?

how do you make the grid? because you say 'randomly generate ouzzles', does that mean you now just make them by hand and type them in?

well, not really.. i don't understand it myself, but i'm doing too much things at the same time :o
i thought i would have more free time because it were holidays, but it seems to be the opposite, social life is getting the overhand right now..

so i guess it will come with time, i'm totally not gonna get this game die, but it'll take time, maybe i could release a basic first version already, that might be a good idea :)

imo the title isn't toooooo big, is it? i think it fits fine, it does not overflow the area, so that's good enough i think..

it's nice to see the progress, i just can't test your latest versions because i'm staying at OS 3.1 for  ndless reasons

i found some, but i won't list them here because of reasons :) just search google with "tapatalk symbian" and you'll find some versions, as i read it seems there are some problems though xs

and i have an android (touch) phone AND azerty keyboard :) best of both worlds imo xp

Symbian is a nokia OS, but it seems like it's dying a quiet death, since more and more phones are getting android (or even windows mobile)...

i'm not into axe, but it sound like S is only an integer (1 byte, 8 bits) zo that it can only hold one value at a time, and not an array of values.

by copying everything to S, you overflow it, and corrupt the data after the memory address of S
(that's what i think it is)

well, it's not the arduino itself that is slow, but the time it needs to send the commands is quite long.. if you would take a b/w screen 96*64 like the 83/84+ ones, it would be a little faster indeed, but here we have a full color 320*240 lcd, which is slightly more enhanced than the other screen :)

and the color is an effect. it depends on how long it is dead, and that gives it a nice effect (if you know it), but if you don't know it, it might indeed look like blur

yes, it's running at full speed.. that's why i said 'quite smooth'. it's not really fast indeed, but fast enough to do some graphing, text, images etc, but not for gaming or equivalent speed-needing applications.

i don't really need the speed though, since i'm going to build my own logitech harmony 1000 (universal remote) with the screen, and for that it only needs to have the ability to display images and text at a reasonable speed, which it does :)
the arduino is only 16MHz, so don't expect it to be superspeed xp

Hi

i know lot's of the people here are interested in more than only calculator development. So i decided to put a little more arduino stuff in here.
i recently bought a color screen for my arduino, the MI0283QT-2 from watterott.com.

it's a wonderful screen, resolution 320*240 with touch (resistive). and it runs quite smooth with the arduino.
now there's an example of conway's game of life, which you can see in the video.

i just wanted to show this, because it's lovely :) and i hope you like it...

btw, i did not make it myself, it's an example program from the manufacturer :)

the cursor is just an image, so you would have to replace this image with another one, which is most probably possible with ndless (but i don't know how)

well, it has an error for every arrowkey press and enterkey press that does not happen in the menu part.
since i simply forgot to remove 2 lines of code (or to add about 20) it throws errors, i know about it

thanks for telling me, and thanks for the comments

could it be possible to make some kind of file that contains specific settings? some kind of style pack, so that it can be easy to share..

like i have some style, and i can save it to a file. That way i could just upload it, and everyone could just set it as their style pack, without having to change any value

(i'm sory if this has already been told, i did not read all the posts)

i like :)
