News / Re: A semi-3D tilt-maze type game in Lua
« on: January 03, 2012, 09:41:09 am »
bad colors? i've played it and it's perfect.. (imo)
the only thing you might say is that it can be hard to control with the touchpad, but not that the colors aren't good O.o
sorry, didn't think about the B/W touchpad..i've tried it in the emulator, and indeed, it might be getting weird on B/W xs

so, better use platform.isColorDisplay, and add a kind of table with the colors for B/W and one for colors

also, i always tilt my calc to change direction, instead of using the touch xp

and loulou, really congratz with this being your first game, it looks way better than a first game should look :)

well, you make drawn true when painting, so when you press enter, the drawn isn't false anymore and the sprite won't get drawn, just change that drawn=true in =false (or just delete it) and it should work
you still have to say what it has to paint on the screen..

the rest of the code is correct imo

well, i think nspire is fine, how would we otherwise have to call all those games with an 'n' as start, like ntris, nplayer, ndless xp

looks very good, but maybe you shoould change the serif font from the button to sansserif :)

and i see u have a "file" "save" and "add" menu in the first window, are they useable? i mean, is there a pop up menu or so?

i know the scrolling issues with lua, for now it's too slow, maybe some improvement on the that in the future? let us hope :)

but it's really nice, why did you change the name to owl (i like it, just to know)?

Lua / Re: Checkers Lua
« on: January 02, 2012, 06:01:27 pm »
the screenie is really nice :) works wonderful.. but can you also move to the not-marked places?

and maybe make it possible for multi-step moves (dunno how to say that) like when you can take 3 pieces in a row, you have to do that (officially xp) so maybe, add this if possible?
