Computer Usage and Setup Help / Re: building a computer!
« on: March 06, 2011, 10:28:11 pm »
I usually have enough parts laying around at any given time to build a computer. The main processor I have multiple of is a Pentium 4 2.66ghz. Not too bad of a chip in my humble opinion. If I don't have certain parts like heatsink clips I will just use zip-ties to hold it together. On one I had to use the zip-ties to hold the heatsink and a screw to hold in the fan. Works quite nicely. In the future I want to build up a nice machine that will do anything I throw at it. At the moment my dream config would be an i7 with at least 8gb of RAM and 1tb hard drive. Biggest hard drive I have ever owned is in this laptop and is 320gb.

I have been over in #cemetech for a while now. I don't do any programming, just mainly testing for the programmers. I hope joining this community will get me started in programming. All I have done is a little TI-Basic. Nice to meet you all.

I have had an iPod Touch 1g since 2007. It has held up well. Everything from beatings to scratches and everything in between. When iDroid was finally released for it I flipped. This is Android running on an iDevice! Then this past Christmas mom and brother bought me an iPod Touch 4g. This thing is friggen sweet. My only complaint really is the quality of the camera. Stills are 960 x 720 and videos are 960 x 720. Now for the video that is pretty good, but for the stills it is about 0.7 megapixels. Nothing compared to the iPhone 4's 5 megapixel camera. No autofocus on the iPod either. But I love both iPods and will continue to use them quite a bit longer.

I have played Simul for a while now. I have only gotten to level 2 if I remember correctly. Nice game and keep up the good work.

I have been playing Minecraft a lot recently. Love the simplistic interface and how you can build just about anything. I am doing testing on a server running on my laptop. If anyone wants to come over you are welcome to do so. parkermc.dyndns.org
