Something you might not know yet: You can copy-paste programs into other programs by recalling them, just like you do with strings, variables, etc. It's a really nifty feature that I've used quite a few times.
I do know that actually... I just don't use it that much.
And that was actually the only thing i thought I could use RCL on before.

Aah ok that explains. My other point still stands, though: I would recommend making your game just a single file.
I'll tell Thomas and see what he can do.

I hate subprograms in BASIC. Thomas said we had no choice :P

I took a quick look at the source and I noticed that you call prgmMOVEPI twice every loop. Why is that? Also, I'd recommend not to use xLib for such a small game, you're probably off better with just pasting prgmMOVEPI in the main loop.
That's for the movement, it lets you move the pi while the * is falling. You couldn't before that, and it got frustrating.

Miscellaneous / Re: So how did you get into calc programming?

Note that I didn't start calc programming until I was 14-15ish. Also at first I only played games on my calc. Wolf3D84 is amazing.
Same age as getting calcs then :P

Thought everyone would like a screenshot.

I like the game, it's executed very well especially for a first game. It lacks a bit of a challenge, though. I would recommend that the chance of bombs/snowflakes/stars dropping is higher when you get closer to your X-position. That way you have to keep moving.
We both started TI BASIC this year  :P
Oh, and there's a small update called B5, but the V.1 you took a screenshot of is actually a branch. I didn't get Thomas' "permission" to release it as V1 so... It's "high score branch" V1

I would love to see the 68k community flourish :D
Same. That's one reason I got a V200 instead of a HP prime.

Another reason was because it looked cool  :D

That looks like a nice webpage. One small remark, when a user browses your site and clicks the TI-Basic commands page, he is presented with an almost-empty page. You should add an index of sections on that page to 1)make it less empty 2) make the site easier to navigate.
Thanks :)
This is the first time we've gave people the link. I've been working on it a lot.

It started in January this year  :)

Thanks for feedback :)

TI 68K / Source Seekers 68k
« on: June 15, 2014, 10:56:57 am »
Well, 123outerme said I could try and port this.
Estimated time: 10+months

Progress so far:
Spoiler For outdated info:
I finished the main program that you run.
Now I need to make the gameplay part, which would be hard.

If anyone wants a screenshot I'll try to get one/an emulator

This is written in pure 68k BASIC on a V200  :)
Okay. New update.
I'm making this into one program, and no DLC packs.
The intro is done, I'm working on the game play.

I would love some testers and debuggers. I'm getting all my information about the commands from TI|BD.

And vote in the poll for new features, you should also post ideas below

68k BASIC Source Seekers 0.1:
Spoiler For Spoiler:
I finished the intro, I couldn't use the matrices for the intro, so I typed it by hand into a disp command on the IO screen.
I got the toolbar into custom, so I'm fixing that
I'm moving this to the 68k section.
EDIT:
I'm skipping the pseudocode.
I'll optimize the Z80 version when I finish the 68k version. I think I broke something, it won't go to level one. I'm just copying down the code and then debugging it

See you then! D:
I'll be coding Source Seekers for the V200 (or trying). Big feat considering that I just got my V200 3 days ago and just started 68k BASIC...
Any help would be appreciated  ._. ;D :)

I think Pimath made a topic about that already. ;)

Yes I did. No idea where or when, though.
A quick look through your post history didn't find anything. >.>
Maybe he mispelled the entire title ?
or it's in ROT something and looks like some other words (by coincidence)
