News / Re: TI-Story moves to its own site

I just edited the Omimaga page to include Sorunome as a Support Staff. That has literally been bugging me for months.
Off topic: You were swarmed with bugs?

TI Z80 / Re: [Pure BASIC] Source Seekers (TI-83 & up)
« on: June 14, 2014, 07:54:59 pm »
It runs really fast :P

EDIT 2: How could I share the pseudocode with you? There could be a wiki page
You can PM it to me.
okay. I'll do that when I'm done. I'm converting the z80 TI BASIC version to pseudocode and then 68k TI BASIC (to the best of my abilities)

It might take a lot of time because I have decided to type in the z80 code to my V200 and debug/fix it from there, and then the pseudocode
If you had a google account i could share it with you in drive

Fixed a small error with the Help screen, and if you've downloaded it before now, you should redownload it.
Tell me if you need anything else (within the power of someone who started programming this year)
Not really, I just need to know if there is anything wrong with the game.
Oh, could you take a (few) screenshot(s) of it working on a monochrome calc?
When I get batteries, but I'll try
1.2.1?

EDIT: I'm using an emulator
EDIT:2 there's a error after the help screen #3 in V.1.2.1 from post #1 of this thread
EDIT 3: Here's the screenshot of the gameplay running on Wabbitemu under a TI-83+BE ROM image. I died on purpose because I didn't want to spoil anything and I wanted to see the death screen.

EDIT 4: I might port this to the V200
EDIT 5: Where should I put this in the wiki? I've been editing
That's it for now
Thanks for signing up! Either on the main screen or General Information would be acceptable.
Edit: Does it really run that slow on the emu, or was that just the capture software lagging it out?
It runs really fast :P

Miscellaneous / Re: So how did you get into calc programming?
« on: June 14, 2014, 07:17:58 pm »
A few days before the beginning of the school year, I got the TI-84+CSE. My brothers previously have had them and said that you can play games on them. Naturally, I was interested. However, when I looked at the package, it said "Programmable Calculator". I was looking for an excuse to learn programming stuff, so I was excited. I got home, looked up how to program on TI Basic Developer, and started to program. I taught one of my friends to program in the middle of the school year, but he has yet to show me a full game.
I taught 5 people this year
1 says he has no time to keep learning (which I doubt)
1 has lost contact with me (triplet with the first)
1 has quit
1 has also lost contact with me
1 thought he could do better than me

Most of them were taught by me on how to use the Norland calc robot.

Does this count?

It's the opening screen for Source Seekers (see: signature). In Basic, it takes a lot of time to load, though.
And it loads strangely on the 83+BE, but still looks cool.
It's all about perception, and I think it looks cool on monochrome calcs.
OK. I just compared it to the PCSE version.

I'm going to Europe on Tuesday, and my parents aren't bringing computers. I'm allowed to bring my calcs though. So see you guys in one month!
I'm going to England,France,The Netherlands,Spain,Germany, and I think somewhere else.

I'll still be programming.

After I come back, I 99% will be moving to Santa Barbra, so if any of you live there, see you!

I'll have a posting spree these two days

Got this captcha today. I guess they don't want me to authorize myself.
What did you type?
Nothing, it was a glitch because my internet cut out halfway through loading. A refresh fixed it.
too bad... What would you type if refreshing brought the same thing?
"the game"
How about "you lost the game?"
how about we make a quote pyramid
how large? Great Pyrimid of giza style? (203 steps)
And it has a captcha at the top!

I started programming this year (in 6th grade) for TSA when school started. I started with the Norland calculator robot and wondered what all the other commands did. I searched it up, and found a tutorial on Ticalc. At the time, I didn't know what Ticalc was, only the tutorial. Some time later, I explored the site and found out how great it was. At the same time, one of my worst friends bragged to me about his skills and accounts. I discovered Cemetech from him, and from Cemetech, Omnimaga.
I'm 12 right now, and am one of the best TI-BASIC programmers in my school. I'm moving to Santa Barbra, so that might not apply there :(

That's a short summary. I might write a longer one during the summer.

TI Z80 / Re: My project with T.Wang

bump

I might try to port this to the V200, while I'm hoping T.Wang will port this to the N-spire.

We're explaining this topic on different forums. Thomas does Cemetech while  I do Omnimaga :)

I've stopped working on this recently so I could rest my overheated brain. I don't know about Thomas.

Other Calculators / Re: Your calculator collection

Mirrored calculators O.O
I said I used photobooth by apple
There's an option in one of the menus to flip the image. Why do you hate on Apple so much? :)
I don't hate apple, just that a lot of people do. And there's an option? The only things I'm good are downloading, ti connect file sending, and wabbitemu (which I know the basics)

I love apple...
