TI 84+ SE: ~$129
TI Nspire: ~$150

The Nspire is only slightly less expensive than the 89, so I think that's beyond your budget if I understood the original post. As for the Prizm, it's basically an upgraded version of the 84+ SE with a faster processor, color screen, more memory, and is likely to have a lot more development in time than at present.

Trade it in for a Prizm. It's cheaper and every bit as powerful as the 84+ (more powerful actually). If you need something more powerful, there's a lot of free computer software available that can help.

Quigibo says he already fixed the A429992 error.

Duly noted.

EDIT: DJ, stop undoing my edits. I wouldn't be censoring you if you weren't cursing.
He's not undoing them, apparently, more like rephrasing them.

Well, several things were placed in spoiler tags that were subsequently removed with the cursing still present...

The contest judging isn't over, so it's unclear whether Ashbad truly won or not. You'll just have to wait :P

One more comment from either of you (whether you were flaming or not) and I'm locking this thread.

Axe apps still need to be signed to transfer to another calculator, but at least it won't delete itself.
I can't remember if this was asked before, but how long would it take for someone to sign an app on calc, and how much extra space would it take to do so?
From the DuckSign (on calc app signer) documentation:
Quote from: DuckSign Readme
Hashing the application will take about 4 seconds per page on a TI-83
Plus BE, or about 1 second per page on a TI-83 Plus SE or TI-84 Plus.
Once this is done, computing a new application signature will take
about 50 seconds on a TI-83 Plus BE, or about 20 seconds on a TI-83
 Plus SE or TI-84 Plus.

Is there a particular reason we can't simply get Floppus' permission to distribute ducksign and then bundle it with Axe? For someone who doesn't make apps, I'm not sure I want Axe to use another page if for app signing if that would be necessary.

Yeah, I actually prefer the opposite of what you're describing here.  It's completely up to the author of the project to do what he/she thinks is best, though.

Ditto to both.

Perhaps better guidelines would be the ti-calc ones?

Yeah, I saw someone mention it on Youtube as a seed to see the new Mooshrooms in 1.9 and I tried it out. Needless to say I was surprised to find myself on a deserted island.

EDIT: Hm, looks like I haven't done the "mooshroom" seed before. It's slightly different from that other seed that I can't seem to find again.

If you had asked me yesterday...

Fine, I'll survive again >.>

On a side note,
404 was harder because you have mobs constantly attacking you. There's a seed ("Desert" I believe) where you get an even smaller island and no trees. It's an interesting challenge to survive (shortcut hint: explore the waters around the island. You'll save a lot of time).

How does surviving long enough to live indefinitely based on the resources I can collect rank? :P
