News / Re: Doing too much with the TI-Nspire dock connectors?
« on: October 10, 2011, 07:49:32 pm »
ok, it is true that it would be simpler even connect directly to the battery, my question was for experimental purposes, to control the fan with a lua menu and the ability to enable the port for LED retroilumination and other possibilities, thanks for replying

wow so interesting, pianoman it works perfectly!!!
the ExtendeD's Solution was logic but when execute the generated file, it show me random "unicode" simbols, i don't know if is a compiler problem or the algorithm need to be corrected
thanks for help
luna0.2a still has bugs and with the TI-Scriping Tool can be compiled, but large programs can't be pasted in the TI-Soft or in oclua (too big for the memory)
it's so frustrating!!!!!

Lua / Re: Lua Q&A
« on: October 03, 2011, 07:21:04 pm »
Hello I'm starting with lua, i have a curious problem:
my code:
function on.paint(gc)
    gc:drawString("Vagos CORP®", 5, 25)
    gc:drawString("Organisación Industrial", 5, 45)
    gc:drawString("Desarrollado por Sebasu", 5, 205)
end
when I copy to oclua it works perfectly but when i save the oclua file and exit, the compiled program dissapears of the screen in the file.
when I use the TI-Scriping Tool and paste the generated code, the TI-Soft close inmediately.
when I use luna 0.2a it generates te .tns file but when i open the file:  "3: ')' expected near 'Organisaci36'"
With one hour testing, I think that the simbols "®" and "ó" are the problem but I need this simbols working
how can i do that?
and what is the real problem?
thanks for help
and luna 0.2a can be downloaded from here http://ndlessly.wordpress.com/

I have a question:
I have a TI-Nspire CAS With touchpad, as we know the TI-Nspire Dock conector can use a 3.3 Volts external source
but when i read de potential between pin2 (Vcc) and pin5 (GND), while using batteries, it generates 3.3 volt output
the fan velocity depend of the volts of the source, but what about the ampers?, can it be dangerous?
if i connect a fan to my dock connector, could i damage my calculator?

I gathered some using this file but there must be a complete list, Jimbauwens could you specify the notes and codes please?

News / Re: OS 3.0.2 downgrade now possible with DowngradeFix
« on: August 16, 2011, 06:12:40 pm »
To downgrade OS 3.0.1 we need special hardware if TNOC didn't be used
has somebody tested sending a TI-Nspire.img file by the RS232 comunication to have a CAS OS installed on a nonCAS handheld?
or it is imposible?

wow this is wonderful, works perfectly
If you can create a fake OS, able to handle ASM code then do not be long time before you can create a full OS and fully equipped with ndless, besides noting that not long to launch a ndless 3.0, very good job.

Ndless / OSes that support Ndless
« on: May 05, 2011, 12:39:33 am »
Well, TI had removed all OSes that support Ndless from its server
but I have the OS files of the TI-Nspire CAS and i would like to share this with the community ;)
version 1.7.2741 to 2.1.0.631 are available here:
[Link removed.]
And if somebody want to probe the 3.0.1.1753 version, i uploaded the file in the same link
but take care and use TNOC to delete the boot2.img file and be able to downgrade de OS later
The Versión 2.1.1.38 of the OS is present now on the TI web, if somebody can probe if Ndless is still working with this OS or if any modificatión was made on it would be great
I hope this will be useful, good bye

I have a question about the method to connect the nspire and downgrade from os 3.0, i found this page (Sorry it is in Spanish):
http://www.pablin.com.ar/electron/circuito/mc/ttl232/index.htm
Is possible to use this old mouse port pins ( TxD GND and RxD ) directly with the nspire or a converter is absolutely necessary to downgrade the OS???
Thanks for Help

Lua / Re: Can you code in Lua?
« on: April 15, 2011, 12:21:13 am »
i asked some months ago to the technical support of TI about the posibility of an SDK for the Nspire, they answer me that the SDK was possible in models like ti-89 titanium because this calculators was using flashROM, but the nspire don´t use this, the lua posibility to programing will be usefull, but ASM programing couldn't be posible

Ndless / Re: Ndless 2.0 for TI-Nspire enters beta stage
« on: April 11, 2011, 02:49:28 pm »
i have a question about de .TNC format of the OS files, it can be opened and extracted by 7-zip, it means like a compresed file, 7-zip recognize this files like one of its suported formats of compresion, i mean, ¿which is the compresión format of the .TNC files? i tested TNOC and this program can operate into this compresión format deleting archives, i think that if a .TNC file is modified replacing its boot2.img file with the boot2.img file of an older versión and be instaled in the handheld, it will modify the boot2 sector of the handheld to this older versión, if somebody knows the compresión format please answer my question, is a theory but i would like to try it.

goodbye and thank you for help :)
