General Calculator Help / Re: Re: Dapianokid's TIOS discussion

2.43. Best compatibility with programs, none of that MathPrint crap.

I had to use a catalog function to randomize a set and store it in a Lua table (works fine), and this is the same table.

My contest entry is working fine in oclua but when I package it with Luna it complains about an attempt to index upvalue [a table I'm using] (a nil value). And yes, said table is properly defined.

I've always had a fascination with computers, but I often found setting things up for dev was time consuming and tedious. I got my first calc - an 84+SE - and saw the prgm key. Oh, cool! I can program this thing easily! I got into TI-BASIC and I'm now trying to learn Axe. I also have come into possession of 2 Nspires, which I think are fun because of their raw power.

Lua / Re: Re: Find nth element in a set?
« on: March 28, 2013, 12:21:28 pm »
Can I use that to randomize the order of the elements?

EDIT: nevermind, I realized I can pass a math.eval into a table as an argument. Thanks adriweb

It does look like a later rev... I wonder if anyone's seen it for real tho.

I'm about 70% sure thats the one my meth teacher has.
O.o

Lua / Find nth element in a set?

I'm using math.eval to generate a set. How do I find the nth element of that set from Lua?

Thanks someone, and Dapiano, I'll edit in links after TI-Concours. PM me if I forget.

TI-Nspire / Re: Re: Virus to crack RSA for nspire? :P
« on: March 22, 2013, 11:55:40 pm »
Slightly off topic, but what if everyone hooked their Nspires up to their computers at night and the Nspires were used to hack the Nspire through distributed computing? :-P Although distributed factoring does seem to be the way to go.

I thought about that too, but idk if its possible

1024 on Classics, 2048 on CX.
And while we could do the computing distribution system, it took months for the z80 and 68k calcs, it'll take years for the Nspires.
