Hey,
i'm a little late too, but Welcome!
Hope you have a great time here.
There is a bunch of people that'll help here too, if you can't solve something.
This really is a great coding environment.

Yeah, I have to try 4.10 some day, it must be fun XD Is there anything prior to 4.10?
no, the first release was the 2004 October Warty Warthog.
"4(for '04).10(for october, 10th month)"
so this upcoming release is 11.10 Oneric Ocelot, version named for same reason, '11 and 10th month.

Does it have sound too? It's not that awesome without sound.

The code doesn't seem to have sound, sound, I'd like sound too!
Still, this a great start!
Good job guys!

I don't think its worth it, cause that would be sorta like BBC Basic, or whatever its called.
You have one Huge app that integrates functions that could be done with some persistence in asm.
It'll slow down the program, maybe not the time to compile.
If you program in VB.net and compare that to C++ on speed issues, C++ wins every time, except maybe the time to compile.
Thats my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Other / Re: What computer OS do you use?
« on: July 22, 2011, 12:28:03 pm »
I gotta say, my best os is Mint by far. (Ubuntu variant)
other than that, i have a netbook with 7 and XP,
an old 98-built laptop running 2000,
and an ancient laptop running 3.1,
and a mininetbook running linux embedded, which has a cracked screen.

Other Calculators / Re: Everyone Should Use Calcsys
« on: July 22, 2011, 01:03:54 am »
I have a small list of things that every programmer's calculator should have on it no matter what: CalcUtil and CalcSys.
Do you mind sharing?

PS: I wrote my own hex editor that's a heck of a lot faster than calcsys' in Axe. I generally use that if I need something on-calc.
May I have? :)
Me too, please?

I use it all the time.  Good for changing the type of format data in the VAT is treated, for seeing the exact disassembly of my Axe programs so I can try to spot optimizations and tricks, and many other things.  It is horribly outdated, but for now it's the best of it's kind.
So this util would not work on nspires?

I don't understand it, too.

Only DeepThought knows!

But he won't continue it.  :'(

I don't really understand it either, what are you supposed to do?
cause i would take like ~25 steps and die.

Hi harold,
You might want to introduce yourself.

But seriously, so what if someone likes them? :) we're all allowed to have our child-like interests :P this won't turn into anything bad as long as no one tries to take it seriously, which a few people are starting to :/
Like he said, just let'em have their own opinion.
if someone needs to love ponies, let them love ponies.
They respect what you like, you respect what they like.
I didn't say you have to like it, just respect it.

Yea, i've heard some of his songs, they're great!
Thanks for posting them!

Thanks JustCause and Juju for the advice.  I definitely don't want to give up on Axe because I can tell that it is an extremely powerful and useful language.
I just have to sit down and figure it out when I have a chance.

And, if you're lucky, you could venture into the land of ASM programming.
Its not like AXE by far, but it is a very powerful language.
