How exactly are you getting what character to output? I'm kinda curious because there might be a better way than what your are doing(if you are doing what I'm thinking you are).

2) Keeping a computer at home that has Windows installed. I'm not going to completely switch to Linux, because I keep hearing people complaining that they cannot find softwares for what they want to do under Linux, or they're very buggy. As I also play online games sometimes, Wine may not always be reliable *cough*Starcraft BattleNET*cough*. Another issue is that certain Windows programs don't run properly in Wine, such as RPG Maker database editor menus (I forgot which version of RPG Maker. I would need to ask Tribal).
...

Just so you know, the version I tried getting to work was VX. I'm not sure if any of the others work or not, didn't really attempt them.

on a side note about the http://www.blogsdna.com/2775/install-unsigned-drivers-on-windows-7-vista-with-driver-signature-enforcement-overrider.htm  the program on this makes a annoying test mode thing in the bottom corner and is also a pita to get working at first it takes a lot of patience as you have to disable safety checks then reboot
...

That's part of the reason I preferred to just disable the enforcement on boot, I really didn't want that there ;)

Agreeing with Galandros, Ubuntu is really easy to install and multi-boot with, the only problem I have with it is the shear fact that it comes pre-installed with a bunch of stuff I really don't need or want in the first place. I had thoughts of trying minibuntu(or whatever it's called) but it didn't have a 64-bit version, which I wanted for best performance out of my laptop. In any case it is still a good choice for someone with little knowledge about the linux operating system.

That'd be awesome if you could host it here, would you add a 'Tools' item to the menu under the banner, or where would you place it?

There are multi-disk games? I never knew that before...
Almost every Playstation RPGs had at least two discs. When they only had one and game was still 3D, it was an indication the game was incredibly short and sucked. On Xbox 360 it's DVDs though, but with the cutscenes (which are good quality as well as graphics) it takes a lot of discs. Actually, this game is about 40 hours of gameplay unless you grind and search a lot, in which case it will be close to 50, like most typical SNES and PS1 RPGs. Keep in mind that in SO4, about 15 hours in the game is just cutscenes and there must be more, because I only have like 20 of the 50 achievements

Also, I think a lot of GameCube games were multi-disk, I don't know this for a fact but am basing it off the fact that the very few games I have had two game disc's in the cases.

hmm it is a basic rpg where you summon mosters to  fight in a team

you can have up to four teams on the field at the same time

other than that is almos exactly like final fantasy tactics for the playstaion  (for field movemnt)

in battle is where it gets complex

you basically choose all of your moves in advance and based on your speed you take turns attacking each other

depending on how you fare you may get a lucky chance or a extra attack

i hope that clears some things up :P

Another fun thing is that there are multiple endings to the game, and what you say to npc decides what ending you get. (That's in shin megami tensei devil survivor.)
Mhmm that reminds me Star Ocean series. If you do private actions with your characters or say certain stuff to NPCs, the affinity between your chars will change (altough there's no way to know) and the game ending will be different

Also like "Mass Effect" for the XBox 360, I havn't personally played it(although I'd like too), there are multiple different occurrences that happen depending on how you play the game, and not just the ending.

TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Re: A guide

Hello, and welcome to Omnimaga.

There is a list of compatible TI devices here. You can find the revision letter on the back of your calculator, it is the very last thing on your serial #(or whatever that is called  :-X).

The .gb file is a GameBoy rom file, so that is what you are looking for.

To get it running, just drag the compiled app to your favorite TI linking software and transfer it, it will be in the form of a application and all you have to do is run it.

Currently there is no way to prevent crashes on newer calcs, for the reason that they are incompatible for one reason or the other(calc84 is currently working to find the cause and hopefully create a solution)

And finally, wabbitsign is a utility used to sign applications for the calculator, signing applications is needed for them to run properly(the newest version can be found here).

I hope this information was helpful, and if there is anything more you need, please post and I, or another member, will be glad to help you  ;)
