Official Contest / Re: Storm #1: BASIC Game in 30 days

Axe contest? sounds cool! I would participate for sure!

Me too

EDIT:: should I delete the post?

1983
I merged both topics.

Also a NES emulator would probably be a bit hard, because it's a different processor to emulate than the z80. The Game Boy processor was closer to the z80 so it was easier to emulate.

That said, as Yunhua98 points out, you should start with a smaller project if you are new to TI programming. Mario is a huge project to undertake and is not recommended for anyone that has less than one year of programming and when I say one year, I really mean non-stop.

Hey I have been programming for almost a year

Sorry to hear that VERY SORRY :o :o :o :o :o :o    :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

and try what jimbauwens said :

Hmm, to bad, they probably will reformat it, unless they are smart enough to know how to remove passwords.
If this is the case, and you are lucky enough to have a gmail account (with autologin), you might want to look at the list of ip's that have accessed it. If you are very very lucky, you might see the IP of the thief.

hopefully it works

Embarrasing mistake : I said hopefukky :-[ :-[ :-[

Edit ::::::::: do you have it backed up on your calculator You could send it to your computer from there

Axe / Re: How use the port commands ?
« on: April 29, 2011, 08:45:56 am »
Hey, that way you can understand the link port better.  Yes, although remember that reading is the opposite from writing.  ie, write 0 and read 3, write 1, and read 2, write 2 and read 1, write 3 and read 0.

Say that in English please
It is in english... If you would like for me to describe it better, then that I can do. :D  Okay, so you know you write a variable by saying #->port, right? So 3->port.  To read it, you do port->X.  So if you wrote 3 to port and then did port->X, X would hold the value 0.

ok that makes alot more sense to me

Project M (Super Mario) / Re: Project M Reboot
« on: April 27, 2011, 07:32:06 pm »
If he releases both Project M and F-zero in the same year, for the POTY it might be calc84 vs. calc84 for the title :P

And yeah, looks like his priorities are apart from this project.  I'm kind of glad he's working on TI-boy tho...instead of making one game at a time (mario or f-zero or something else) he's effectively making hundreds of games at the same time by working on a game boy emulator.  Which is great ;D

I agree and there are alot of other projects I am interested in too

Google that but anyways I got Super Mario Land 2 on my calc

EDIT:

The file size that Windows shows you is not how much space it will take on your calculator.

You have tested Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins on TI-84 Plus (NO Silver Edition!)?

EDIT: Insufficent Memory as I thought!

Sorry I use ti-84 plus SE
